    oh I see. thanks

does really anyone experience this that the immigration in manila denied the departure? This sounds a scam

If you are talking about the CFO sticker, yes, they can prevent your fiancee from getting on the plane. I would check the CFO website for details. The CFO office in Cebu is staffed by nuns, and they were quite strict during my fiancee's interview (i.e. questions about the relationship/intimacy) and made her return a second time with MY birth certificate before they would give her a course certificate. You need the certificate in order to get the CFO sticker afixed in the passport. I would not take any of this lightly. Good luck.

  2. Other posters here are welcome to correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that most applicants who fail the medical are informed of this fact at the time the medical is given. If they said nothing to your fiancee, then it is more than likely that she passed, and it will not be an issue at the interview. Just my thoughts.

  3. She can take the CFO seminar at any time, before or after the interview. After seminar completion, she will receive a certificate; but she has to have the visa in her passport before the CFO will apply the departure sticker in the passport. In other words, after the interview go to the CFO and give them the seminar certificate along with the passport w/visa and they will apply the sticker. You are now ready to head to the airport. I hope I haven't confused you. Good luck.

  4. I beg to disagree, it is MY RIGHT as an American Citizen that upholds our laws, pays my taxes, votes on all issues including immigration to have my husband to live with me here. Betsy, I always have respected your opinions even if we do not see eye to eye, but please do not come at me trying to refer to me needing big girl panties, while it is good for a chuckle  , it hardly seems an appropriate way to refer to me and what I may be needing to do.

I also feel I am used to this process, and I have handle it rather well, but I will never accept being lied to, and if their workers are misinformed and misinforming others, I feel it is a huge problem that needs to be addressed with more management/employee discourse.

Actually, if you are a Christian, US Citizen MALE, you have NO RIGHT to marry a Muslim, Egyptian WOMAN. It is forbidden by law.

  5. Hmmmmmm, I thought I explained that in my original post. Go to the link http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef and enter EXP 05 MAY 2011A in the "reference" box. In the "shipment pickup date range", enter the dates May 4 to May 6. A list of packages will appear and you look for the one that was shipped to Manila, and you will see a corresponding "tracking number" in red. Please note: the NVC "forwarded" the petition on May 4; but DHL did not pick up the package until May 5; hence the one day delay. Hope that explains everything.

  6. It sounds like the Embassy examined your I-134 Affidavit of Support, and determined that your income and/or financial resources do not meet the requirements for entry into the USA. I believe your income has to be 125% above the poverty line, and the bottom numbers change depending on how many dependents are in the household. You may wish to obtain a co-sponsor who can supplement your income. Do you have parents or relatives willing to sign on as co-sponsors? If so, gather their income data and read the I-134 instructions carefully. Hope this helps.

  7. I got my NOA2 on April 26, and phoned the NVC today at 603 334 0700 to get a status update. I was told that my petition was forwarded on May 4 to Embassy Manila. I went to the DHL USA site and entered EXP 05 MAY 2011A in the tracking reference box and clicked "track." Several packages went out to various countries from NVC, and the one to Manila has the tracking number 8798000352. If your Embassy Manila petition is on its way, you can track it at: http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByNbr.asp?nav=TrackBynumber. By the way, the package weighs 42 pounds so there are lots of petitions crammed in the box. Hopefully, one of them is yours. As of 12:30pm Friday May 6, the package has left the DHL hub in Ohio, and is on its way to Manila. Good luck!!!

  8. Boarding passes and hotel receipts should be sufficient. However, I suggest you download form DS-64, Statement of Lost or Stolen Passport, and submit to the US Passport Office for a new one. my thoughts to you is place your new passport in a safe place. Passports are often stolen and traded by criminals and terrorists. If you lose more than one, the Passport Office may give you a hard time.

  9. Ironically, the K-1 visa was introduced to allow "marriage-minded" couples who intend to live in the US to be together during the dreadfully long process of status adjustment. Historically, it has worked well. However, in recent years the processing time of K-1 visas equal or exceed the time it takes to file a I-130 which seems to defeat the purpose of the K-1. Furthermore, entering on an immigrant visa allows the foreign spouse to work immediately. Having said that, you are still better off sticking with the K-1 at this stage of the game. Good luck.

  10. If you are the beneficiary, and you are accompanying your US Citizen fiance(e), you can go through the US Citizen line. Let your US Citizen fiance(e) go ahead of you so he/she can alert the CO that you are entering on a K1. A K1 visa only allows you to travel to the USA to present yourself for inspection to a border officer at the POE. It is the border officer who allows you entry into the US, and he/she can deny entry to you even though you have an approved K1 from the embassy. It does not happen often; but the CO at the POE is authorized to deny you entry for any number of reasons. In other words, it is not a simple formality or "rubber stamp". Just be polite and patient, and you should not have any problems.

  11. It may sound strange to you that people save their chat logs; however, it may interest you to know that Yahoo Messenger automatically saves chat logs unless you specifically ask it not to do so. In fact, anyone can access their chat history through the YM archive. I frequently refer to my chat history to verify phone numbers and other info that my fiancee has passed on to me during our conversations that I have forgotten. A chat log is quite useful, and hardly an instrument, as you suggest, to create visa fraud. Absent any photos, I consider you to be lucky that USCIS did not send you an RFE. The Consular Officer will likely apply a higher burden of proof, and may not be so forgiving. I suggest that you bring along many Emails etc to compensate for your lack of photos. Good luck.

  12. I got my NOA1 from VSC on November 10 and received my NOA2 on April 26. Until my NOA2, my case had not been touched (updated) since November 15. Furthermore, USCIS does not process them in "exact" order. I doubt writing your senator will help. Unless YOU or your family has a medical emergency or extreme hardship, you will have to wait like the rest of us. By the way, marriage is all about patience and compromise. Maybe USCIS knows this ;) Get used to it.

  13. I am a bit camera-shy myself, and submitted only one photo along with my K-1 application. However, I did provide boarding passes, passport entry stamps, emails and chat logs. USCIS approved my petition. Although photos are secondary evidence, the lack of any photo whatsoever may be problematic. Correct me if I am wrong, but prior to digital photography when film alterations were difficult, the INS required at least one photo to prove a face-to-face meeting.
