You have to make an appointment online (I did my son's CRBA last year) and then, you will need to go to the Embassy that date with your evidence (pre, post natal info, marriage certificate, pics of you with your baby in different stages -if you have-) DNA is not needed to the first interview (we didn't need it). And if they believe you need it, they will send you to some specific doctors, if you show a DNA test that it's not approved by them, you will just throw your money, 'cause they wont consider it.
At the same time you can apply for a US passport, and they will give it to you most likely in 10 calendar days. (we applied 10/17 and pick it up 10/28)
Best wishes
I forgot, you both need to go to the interview (mom and dad) because you both need to sign everything

It's okay in English. The Embassy accepts either English or Spanish... don't worry

Read here in the instructions for I-130 as to where to file
Dependent on where they live.
They live in the NY area, so they should follow I-130 intructions on where to file or the ones that come with the AOS papers??

Hello everyone, hope you can help me solve this doubt my friend has...
She brought her fiance to the States with a K-1 visa. But due to unexpected circumstances they didn't get married on the 90 days, but after 5 months. Now they are trying to submit the I-130 along with the AOS. But they are not sure where to send it. Where should they send both petitions to??
Any kind of help would be highly appreciated. And no, they don't need any more of "why they didn't got married on the 90 days" they've got a lot of that from me already. Thank you!

They will ask for more proof obviously. They will require you to prove you met her mother before or in around the date she was conceived (they ask for dates to us and they checked them with the probable conception date of my son). They will require some pics of you to before pregnancy, and during pregnancy, and pics or proof of bonding with your daughter since she was a little girl... if they don't ask for DNA (they didn't ask us for that, but just because we have enough proofs of the relationship of my husband and son (he wasn't my husband when my son was born -but is the father though-)
If I were you I wouldn't try with that birth certificate, because despite doing it the right way, is fake 'cause you're not the father... just saying. Just make your wife apply for citizenship if she hasn't and the she can pass it to your daughter.
Best wishes!

Idk where you live, but here in NY Medicaid for pregnancy is given regardless your immigration status...My brother in law wife had medicaid during her two pregnancies and now she is a US Citizen... (she was out of status when she had it)

So, Looky any news yet????
-
To get marry in Peru you need to look in the Municipalidad of where you live. It takes about two-three weeks to get married. (fill the medical exam, publish it in the newspaper, and all the bureaucracy over there)
Best wishes

I came to JFK and my total time spent in immigration was about 30 minutes. But I believe it depends the day and the hour you come in... I was there a Saturday at 11:50 pm (this was on April)
Hope it helps

Ogling your pots over the stove and hindering ever attaining 212 degree F can cause your food to come out mushy and overcooked by the time it does boil. Thus you won't be impressing your wife with your fabulous cooking abilities!
All goes well here, still a bit of time. I suspect this time we won't have any outside interference but I'm not taking any chances and not mentioning dates.
Best wishes Looky, and don't worry about no posting dates. In your case is safer this way. I'll keep you both in my prayers!

Congratulations Georgina, you'll have lots to be thankful for on Thanksgiving!
Oh by the way the embassy sent us me an email yesterday (June 5th) with a new interview date!
That's sooo good Looky!! I'm so happy for both of you! I wish you nothing but the best for this interview!!!

Hi Looky, my due date is on Thanksgiving... go figure!!! We still don't know if it's a boy or girl, but that really doesn't matter as long as (s)he is healthy we're fine!

Waiting to get married in the middle of June!
And going to the Veteran's Appreciation Day this Sunday on Playland!!!

They give you a different code... don't worry it takes about a week or so for them to give you this new code. It's not the same DHL gave you when you left your passport. They will e-mail you the code. (That's what they did with us - I also sent my passport with DHL).Best wishes...

Awww, I'm sorry Looky. I hope everything solves in a timely manner. Wish only for the best, and it'll happen
Best wishes for you!

So, I'm finally leaving tomorrow morning!
@Looky: I hope everything goes well with this AP. You guys did nothing wrong, so you will get through this. My thoughts are with you. And I really wish all the best for you, you have been nothing but supportive with me, and I really appreciate that You'll see time will fly until you're reunited with Loreta. Tell her to take care of herself, so she can stay healthy.

He was here (Peru) for almost two years. But he couldn't adjust that well. There are things here (like traffic) he will never get used to. Also the weather, it's not that bad, but in winter there is no sunny days at all (most likely the sky is always gray) and this kind of make him feel depressed all the time, so we decided to move to the States, for those reasons
-
Yes he did, he has a reciept that he paid. He says he went to a first window and the first lady asked him, do you have all your documents and he said yes...and he gave them to her, she jst glanced quickly at everything, then she filled out a paper and sent him to pay, then after he paid, he had to go to another window where the second (rude) woman was and SHE was they one that looked over each paper with more detail, and he says she was the one that said no, we will not process this.
Bt again, they gave him a reciept and he has it with him as proof. Do you think that will be fine and they will accpet it ?
Maybe he can try calling or writing an email to clarify this doubt. I don't know for sure if they are going to make him pay again, but that will be very unfair... since he didn't get the chance to pass the interview, 'cause this second lady "the rude one" only take the documents and your biometrics, and with me she also was rude when the time of bio came, I was shaking because I was nervous and she couldn't take my fingerprints and told me "come on, you can do it right?" and i was like "whaaat?" she takes many attributions she doesn't deserve, unfortunately we can't tell her a damn thing without compromising our future...
He needs to call to make sure. tell him to call 5 minutes after two, that way he wont wait much.
Best wishes

do they give him any kind of paper?? sorry to ask, but are you sure he paid?? 'cause they firstly check all your documents, once they gather the documents and make sure are all ok, they give you a ticket to go and pay, not before...
-
Awww, so sorry. But this is totally fixable. You just need to fill it online, entirely and print it from there... Also is better to do it on Internet Explorer... so try doing it on Explorer, it doesn't matter if you try once or twice or more than that. I printed mine like three times and present the last one, not a problem.
Unfortunately there are mean persons in the USEM, like if they were doing us a favor and we weren't paying for it. Most likely he was firstly interviewed by one of the peruvian ladies over there. They are the ones who gather all documentation. And they are all like with lemon in their mouths!! Lol. They can even show a smile or some teeth in their mouths...
Just make sure he has the 156 with the barcode next time, and all will be fine!
Best wishes

So??? What's the outcome??

If you have his CRBA done you can apply to his passport and SSN, when we went to do my son's CRBA they do it along with his passport, SSN had to be done later with his CRBA in hand. And yes you must present the father's consent.
-
Get out of here with that stuff woman You are not the only one saying that lol My brother-in-law always curse me with this, I tell you now, you will be the one having triplets. Cursed.
So many curses over here! Lol... I've dreamed having twins, so help me God if that happens!! (no ultrasound yet since Dante wants to be there for the first one -men- lol)

You should check your case number. If is EAC it at Vermont. If WAC is at California Service Center. Texas DOES NOT process k-1.
Hope it helps!
interviews in Federal Plaza (NYC)
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Does anyone know what interviews are being scheduled in Federal Plaza (NYC)??? because this message has been appearing for more than a month now in my case status report: "Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."
And I haven't received anything on the mail as well. So I was wondering, which filling time is being scheduled right now in Federal Plaza
