  1. I used to be one of em paranoids, i admit haha! By the way, im on my way to ASC to take a shot of the so called "early walk-in" :D

i think all of us have this level of anxiety and paranoia LOL especially if we compare our timelines, then

someone else's timeline is going way better than ours xD

i'm just O:<!!!! at my online case status sometimes..saying "WHY YOU SO SLOW?!!?" XD

  2. guys, is xiucai the only person here who got her greencard?

are there any other people here who got her gc or something, so we

can estimate probably when we'll get ours or something...

mine is in NBC... i was expecting for my files to run faster.. -_- but... blehhh

    LOL

i think TJLove and I have the closest timeline? :D

i got an email about my EAD being approved... the card production ordered came first before it -_-

wow their system must have the biggest glitch lol

  3. well yea it's just the way it is, we are the most active filers of them all :D

it's rather disappointing, it's been 4 months for you and still haven't even received the EAD right?

where re you from and filing from what visa?

it's not yet actually 3 months...since i filed my 1485 and i765..i'm just waiting for my EAD in the mail..

i dunno if it makes a difference, because my apps are in the NBC..i think they are slower than USCIS service centers.

    I was from a B1/B2..but my I130's approved already..

  4. Hello

04/02/11 - Day 66 - EAD & AP "combined" card received by express mail usps

oh wow..yours took like only 4 days to receive your EAD card :( i see yours is in chicago lockbox... mine is in the NBC..

i think NBC is slower than any USCIS service centers? :( our states are just beside each other xD i'm expecting mine this week..

but you didn't at least receive 2 dates of card production..i did receive twice (refer to my sig) we did have the same first

card production order date..grrrr i'm getting a little impatient as i want everything to be done at least before apr. 15th..so i can submit

my SSN to our tax agent xD

  5. if you already got your EAD in the mail, go ahead, apply for SSN at your local SSA Office, then you can use that SSN for the tax, driver's license, work, etc. Since EAD is the card you'll show while your AOS is pending so you can work already. :)

Like what Myopia said, she, too is waiting to be able to apply for SSN, I, myself is on the same spot as well. We have a tax agent, doing our tax paperworks, he went ahead filed for my ITIN, but once I have a SSN, I can call him right away so that he can file the tax papers in a normal way, since my hubby and i did it as a joint tax return.

  6. uhmm our drive was like an hour or something... i think we're on the same city or somewhere near to each other XD (makes me so much happier LOL)

but you're lucky enough, that the office got no one there..when i came in, my hubby was with me and he was sent out because there are a number

of people in..but i totally didn't know we can walk-in in the office... i should've called.. but anyways, good luck with your app!! :D

  7. My husband was able to do a successful biometrics walk-in today at the East Hartford office!! :)

Has anyone who has done walk-ins seen a benefit from it yet? We need to get AP by May 24 and even though the biometrics isn't for the AP we are hoping it helps speed up the processing of everything!

wow at last..i saw someone in the same area as mine xD

so i didn't know we can do walk-ins in the east hartford :(!!!! this is in the silver lane, right? what a bummer... T___T

but i think it speeds up the process, yeah... ^_^

lol i got too excited seeing someone from CT XD

  8. been checking timelines most of the people who done an early-walk-ins or not they have an immediate touch the day they do walk-in or the next day. you know I did it long ago 11 days passed no touches.. but like you say sometimes it doesn't mean anything, sometimes maybe they don't update their site.

oh well they have till 15th of this month, then i will write to a congressman

i have had this same problem..i was worried because i haven't had any touch on either my I485 and I765...i posted it here somewhere /started a thread... and then moments later..my EAD went directly to production -_- my biometrics was last march 2nd...until march 29th..no touches til 5pm of march 29th ..so yeah.. no touches for 27 days :/ then i just knew it's on production already..i think it's in their system...

and when you call, they would give you the same "30 days" thing..so all we gotta do is wait..which is hard to bear...

  9. Hi,

As I can see in your signature, EAD card is in production it sounds good, one more step in your AOS journey

Keep in my mind everyday you get closer and closer ;-)

Looks like yesterday was a big working day for them!

guys...did you receive another confirmation email about your card production of EAD? cause mine did..

it said.. march 29th before..and then now when i checked (and received an email) it's april 1 o.O i don't understand?

will the production of my card be delayed or something? or is this normal..like a glitch in their system or something.. ???

  10. I have great news!

I called USCIS and an operator transferred me to another line and everything that i needed to know was answered. :)

She has a weird accent and i was so distracted lol! Anyways, she said that my AOS package was received on March 7th and after two weeks they cashed the check, that was 2days ago. Kinda took awhile.

And she even gave me my Receipt #. Starts with MSC.

Well that was a big relief. Its like a big thorn pulled out from my brain lol! :D

well, that's great news! perhaps you can ask them if they can send you a hardcopy of noa1? o.O because you can put it in your records, but if it doesn't bother you, then you are fine, at least you can check your status online, anytime :D

  11. You can bring in your marriage cert to the SS office and get your SS card in married name.

You can keep the GC in your maiden name, and change it when you get to ROC stage. You could also try to get your GC changed to married name BEFORE it gets made... so mention to the IO when you have your interview that you want your name to be in the married name - that might work but might not.

    Good luck.

I am also thinking of asking the IO to make it to my married name..but i don't know if someone from here ever did it..or maybe it depends to the IO (because some maybe in the best mood..some are just..neutral, no emotions XD) but your answer definitely made me feel so much better. :) i think the important thing is the SS, because of the taxations, records, etc... so can i at least make my driver's license (if i'm going to get one in the near future) in my married name, yeah? just bring in the marriage cert? :D

i will try the asking the IO thing..he/she can just jot it down in front of the file to the correct name..hopefully ^_^

    thanks harpa! :D

  12. We double checked so im sure that there is no errors.

Mrs.Finland is right...did you send it with confirmation receipt so you would know

if someone signed for it, or when it was delivered? Because we don't wanna scare

you, but sometimes mail people are like .. :/ that's why i send my important documents

with tracking/confirmation numbers... they would send you your return receipt if your docs

    have been delivered.

  13. hi guys! i think my question belongs here... i know i made a mistake.. (by reading your answers here..i know i did -_-) but it was too late as my

AOS paperworks are in the initial review already xD

But anyway, what I'm bothered about is.. I'm about to get my EAD probably next week since it was just ordered this week.. And everything I filed is in my maiden name.. I thought I should file first in my maiden name since I don't have any proper ID to show if my file's in the married name..What I'm bothered about is, what if i get my EAD already and apply for SSN, can i ask them to change my last name and just bring with me my marriage cert.? or should i wait for my conditional green card, get it changed (from maiden name to married name) and have my SSN name changed? because i have my RN license changed already in my married name.. and i'm gonna have to transfer it to another state (MI to CT) will my name there in my license affect anything if that's the only license in my married name?

  14. You can give them a call and check on the status. My wife's biometrics was performed in Jan 26 2011... even until now, no interview letter, nothing. Matter of fact, I can't even search for my status because my start with MSC.

I have seen in some other threads, that if they couldn't find their cases online, they can call

USCIS because when they did, their case status is either already in the interview, or in the

card production. I see that you already have your EAD so it shouldn't be a problem, as I was

    worried about my EAD.

But anyway, since AOS processing takes up to 5 months, and since your receipt number starts with

MSC, I guess you are also in the NBC... if no improvement can be heard from them about your AOS

until april, which is the 5th month since your application was received, I would give them a call,

or even involve the congressman in your place concerning your case. :)

Good luck to all of us! ^_^
