  1. i saw what was happening with june filers or maybe july im not sure.. but some vsc cases are beingtransferred to csc.. i wonder if that's affect the length of time theyre gonna wait for their case to be approved.. i just feel lucky and blessed that our month wasn't being touched! good luck to those who are still waiting and spend some vacation ime to those who just got their cards!!!!:)

  2. what date did you get your RFE? I dont think it was updated on our list. Thanks

Thanks. I just got a message from USCIS that my greencard has been mailed :D

On August 20, 2013, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

IS there a way I can track my card? how can I get my tracking number?

i got my approval letter saturday dated aug 13. i received email and txt messaging update again that my card was picked up and gave me a tracking number..and it has insurance of $100.. and that i should get it on friday via 2 day priority mail. :) you'll get tracking number soon probably later today as we sort of have the same approval date :)

  4. oh my god man, that's also what i thought, I was thinking starting from the first green cards date, 3 years then, not the other way around.

thanks if your IO told you that then it's all good, i was really curious about this

    CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONE!!!

Yup, we can all apply in the year 2014, 3 years after being a permanent resident (if married to a USC). So hope we can all see each other 2 years from now (for ROC) and 3 years from now for Citizenship? xD that would be fun, isn't it!? :D

  5. you're all very welcome, I learned lot from this site too. This whole thing is over now till 2013.

I never thought that this thread was gonna be that long, about 80 pages now. We should get rewarded by the VJ team, for we are the most active thread of them all :)

lol you are right..by the time of your interview, it's gonne ba on page 80..and it's almost there ^_^ CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D

  7. How was the driving test? Hope everything went well. I'm applying for Physical Therapist license. It's pretty nerve wracking, I can't wait to pass the test so we could go for our much awaited honeymoon :D

I passed my driving test!! wooohooo!! i'm now all set LOL except for the fact that ssa probably didn't update my name

-__- i need to go back to the office and ask them and bug them D:< the dmv lady told me to bug them because since

my name on the GC changed, it must be changed in the system as well and SSA is just -_- so that's the ONLY problem i have right now ^^

but u know, at least my GC is under my married name just the DL under the maiden xD it doesn't matter as long as i have the DL and i can drive more confidently now xD

Good luck on your PT License!!! ^^ and yay for h.moon!!! today (07/10/2011) is our first year wedding anniv!!! :D bbq cook out LOL

Thank you!!! The last time i was supposed to have it..the inspector wasn't in favor of the blinkers (it blinks too fast LOL) so we're bringing a different car.

Congrats on your hubby's GC! it's safe and sound in his hands! hehe

Good luck on your driving test tomorrow. I've been busy too preparing for my state licensure test and working part-time. Hubby's biz is busiest on summertime (he does carpet cleaning).

Congrats to those who got their green cards and good luck to those awaiting for their interviews.

State licensure? Good luck!! :D (are you an RN?) That's great for your hubby's business! :)

To those who will have their interviews!! Yep, good luck! ^^ Still don't forget to share the good news! :D

  9. 19 more days to go to my interview. Can't wait to get it over with.

    good luck!!

i miss this thread being busy LOL i'm gonna start working on monday! yay yay yay!

and i called dmv this early afternoon to check if there's any earlier driving test appointment.

guess what? i got in for tomorrow LMAO i was speechless and didn't even know there's a saturday

    appointment.. ^^

    how are you guys?

  10. just to share a story of mine when i used my EAD to apply for knowledge testing at the DMV:

    i brought with me:

    EAD

Proof of residence (mails that are addressed to me in that residential house i live in)

Biometrics Appt. Letter (the one where they stamp your Biometrics appt. letter when you're done with it.)

Receipt Letter (stating that I have paid $1000+++ for I485

    Interview Letter

Adult Driving Safety Certificate (depends on your state if they require you with this)

    Passport

    I-94

    and Social Security Card

*Just to be complete, you know. I'd rather have more than less. So, yeah. :)

I got to take the written exam right at that moment. and i'm from CT if you're wondering. ^^

  11. where are you from?

you can use it if you have an international driver's license. If you don't, still a driver's license from another country is valid for a period of one year to use it here without taking any road tests etc.

i'm from connecticut! sadly, my international license has expired :( i thought this is it... until it's the car's fault!!!!!! :bonk:

i know how to drive, i even drove going there LOLOLOL it's the car..so i don't know how i'd be when my hubby gets here from work -_- we should've just switched cars... the car he's using now is fine.. but his is just grrrr but we thought (my cousin and i) that it's just the guy...i got the wrong guy -_- he should retire imo XD

  12. Thank youuuu now just wondering in how long we will received the card, we want to go on a cruise for my birthday my wife is excited about it

i got mine a week and a day after i got approved! :)

PS: just gotta vent out here...you know what...i didn't get to drive for the drive testing, just because my husband's mounted light (?) when i hit brake doesn't light up... aklsjdaklsjdkalsdja!!! plus, that guy who was about to test me and inspected the car was the person who failed my cousin on her first try!! D:< i hate him! grrrr now i have to wait til july 28th to have my test again!!!! that's how fully booked they are LOL but *sigh* darn -_- well, at least it's not ME who didn't fail... but still -_- im sad :(

  13. it's probably understandable that she couldn't get into your health and life insurances. but for the bank account,

well, over here in CT where we live, i was asked for my SSN, but i didn't have yet at that time but since it's a joint account

between my husband and i, and he has everything, they included my name and him as the primary account owner. you probably should talk

to the bank about that. i think they can understand.

and with the dmv and ssa, you really have to wait for either the EAD w/ AP or the GC itself. :)

oh, and you can also add her to your phone bill / account. just ask the customer service on whatever carrier you are on, and tell them to add her to the phone bill. :) and plus, by the time you get the interview, you will have everything (insurance, etc) by then, because EAD usually comes a couple of months prior the interview.

i hope my note helps? :)
