  1. Hello, little confuse my question is how many PCC we need to obtain from Thailand??? In the past my wife has lived in 3 different cities in Thailand to include Rayong, Phuket and Bangkok we have already obtained one PCC from Special Branch Royal Thai Police in Bangkok, Thailand. The NVC / State Department instructions require the PCC from Thailand must be issued by Special Branch Royal Thai Police in Bangkok, Thailand and we have already done so. Therefore, do we still need to obtain 2 more PCC from Rayong and Phuket??? Has anyone experienced these similar situations? Please advice. Thanks.

  3. Not yet, i just submitted and i am not to concern about it, I noticed my I-130 have correct date and they also have my marriage certificate with correct year of marriage. Just go ahead and submit yours and we will just wait until we get ours approval of noa2 or a ref, but chances are very low that we get a ref over this. Good luck.

Also, I mailed the letter through postal services in a priority envelope and certified it just to be sure that they have received it. I will updates you if i hear anything back from USCIS, CSC.

  4. Did you receive a response back or any sort of confirmation that they have received it?

  6. Every consulate is different. We are going thru Costa Rica and they told us to not worry about an expired police certificate since we can get a new one the same day we request it if it is expired by the time we get our interview--that may not be true everywhere, so ask your consulate.

Thank you for the advice…I will consult this situation with the Vientiane Consulate for recommendation if they require a new Police Certificate?

  7. I'm pretty sure I130 is very similar to I129f petition. My fiance at the time had to get a new one because she obtained one too early within the process. If that is the case, you have to get another one if it's expired. I would not risk the chance the Consulate telling you it's expired and to get a new one. Save yourself the headache especially if he/she does not reside within the Vientiane Province and needs to get travel back to her Police District within her HOM/Province.

    Thank you for the advice…

  8. The 129-F was based upon your factual information and you have the NOA2. Congrates on that. It WAS APPROVED. Not being rude or harsh, but now you say I FORGOT TO MENTION there is a 3 year old I wish to Include. RFE.. No, I don't think so at this time. I think your past that stage. Now you have to tell them them the truth.

Just my thought. Other members can add what is best for you. ( I feel in my heart that USCIS will really scrutinize your case now and/or deny for false information ) But, I don't know. I don't know everything.. Good Luck

    Sorry... I-130. I'm new here...

Write to USCIS & TELL THEM THE TRUTH! USCIS will advise you on next step how to proceed with your 3 year old...Good luck.

  9. Hello,

I am a USC and filled two I-130’s petition for CR-1 visa with the USCIS, one for my wife and one for my son. As I was reading some of the instructions how to prepare my self after the approval of I-130 and what documents must be submitted to NVC to continue with the process…I would like to clarify question # 5 below, if a petitioner is also require to submit his / her “Original/certified copy of birth certificate"? Can some one please clarify? Thanks.

    1. Two passport-style photographs (2X2 inches) of the beneficiary. (Write down NVC Case# and beneficiary’s full name and date of birth on the back side of both photographs lightly)

    2. Completed and signed form DS-230 Part I by the beneficiary

    3. Completed and unsigned form DS-230 Part II by the beneficiary

    4. Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page

    5. Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate

    6. Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate

    7. Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary

    8. Original/certified copy of military record, if applicable

    9. Original/certified copy of divorce decree, death certificate, etc. of previous marriage, if applicable

Thanks to everyone for clarifying question # 5 and more.

  11. I was just curious if anyone has an experience similar to mine applying for another spouse after divorce of the first one. My ex and I were married 6 years before separation. He got his citizenship in 2007, but the marriage ended last year. Both my ex and current husband are from Pakistan, but my ex and I did DCF in Tokyo, Japan as he was on a student visa there. The embassy in Tokyo was AMAZING at helping through the process. Anyway, what are your thughts experiences?....

Shouldn’t be a problem, as long it is a genuine marriage. Nothing is perfect in life… I was married almost 13 years and now divorced and recently got married and have already filed a petition for my wife. Our marriage is genuine and we have nothing to worry and you shouldn’t worry either. Good luck!

  12. My husband was approved for his visa today. We are so, so happy  I will post a full story of the interview process when I get back to the USA.

Thank you everyone here for all the advice, help, and support. :D(L):D

Wow, I was reading your time line for visa petition and it was really fast process, congratulation! I recently file an I-130’s for my wife and my stepson and like most of us waiting… Reading reviews like yours gives all of us inspirations, encouragement and patience that sometimes things can move rather quickly in the right direction with USCIS & NVC! Again, many congrats!!!

  13. My fiancee lives in Ukraine and has a 5 year old son from a previous marriage. They split up before the child was born. The Father has never seen or talked to his son even though the boy still carries his last name. We have been trying to locate him unsuccessfully. Last we heard he went somewhere in Russia for work. How do we get consent from someone we can not find? What is the best approach to this matter?

I agree with posting # 2 and Just to be safe, go to the local court or government office and have them issue a letter stating the father has not paid any child support and his residency is unknown? I think this will help you during the interview process. It is better to plan now for your interview and I think you’re on a right path by having all the necessary proofs in hand.
