I did an early walk-in biometrics today (Seattle field office). It was no problem at all. The staff was very friendly and professional. I was in at 8.30 and out at 9.00. The only negative thing was traffic back home (took longer than the biometrics
)

I handwrote my A# on each copy of extra evidence, as it said so in the instructions. I'm not sure if it is really recquired, but better safe than sorry :-)

I got my biometrics notice today, it's for 5/11. I heard that you can do walk-in at Seattle field office, I will try to gon in earlier as I have a clinical that day that I cannot miss. Does anyone know if it's better to walk in the same weekday as scheduled, or could I try any day?
Edit: my online status didn't update, it still says "cas ereceived", just FYI

My window of eligibility to file the N-400 opened on 4/20/2015. I'm filing under the 5-year rule on monday , wish me luck people !!!
I have been eligible since October 2012, based on 5 year residence, but just never filed. I intend to send mine in this week.
I hope it all goes smoothly.

Thank you Zara_ for the quick response. I will definitely file a G-1145 for my parents' N-400. They still haven't filed yet. Since it is more complicated for them having 2 kids, 17 and 8
You're very welcome! Yes, file this form for them. It's easy and quick to fill out (nothing compared to the N-400 form
), and as we all know, it's always nice to get a sign of life from USCIS 
I expect a looong waiting time because the Seatle office seems to be back logged and it takes up to 8 month average...

Hi blue_angel_29, I filed the form G-1145 (for email/text notification). Did the same for my AOS and ROc and it always worked well. But as soon as you get your NOA and see your case number, you can sign up for alerts on the case status page. If it works...it does not always get updates

Got a text that they accepted my case yesterday, and a case # assigned.
Today 4/21/15 the check was cashed

Die Warterei beim K1 ist echt der schwerste Teil, aber wenn du das dann durch hast und mit deinem Partner zusammensein kannst, ist das AOS viel leichter - dann kann man zusammen warten

Our ROC interview is approaching and we're wondering if anyone has knowledge as to whether we may bring our infant/toddler child to the interview? We're unable to locate any information on their website addressing this. Our child is exclusively breast-fed and won't bottle feed whatsoever. Other than input from other members here, it seems our only option is to attempt an INFOPASS appointment to ask this question. (If even they'll allow such) Thoughts? Suggestions? Input?

we've had our AOS-interview there (Tukwila) 2 years ago, and I remember that some families had their kids with them (babies, toddlers, little children). I don't think it'll be an issue. If you want to be 100% sure, call them or make an infopass appointment.

Beats me... That's what I said, first you hear nothing for month, and then it goes boom
If you look at it, it actually took 20 hours -
See, it really looks like ROC processing is not standard. Some people approved early, others later, some receiving approval letters on plain white paper, others not receiving one at all, some get a tracking #, others don't....
If there's any logic in this, my card should be coming from Laguna Niguel like Huy-Le's, since we both didn't get a tracking #. We'll see!
You are right, there seems to be no logic.
Got the email of approvel on 4/17, the approval letter and card/production email on 4/21, and email with tracking # on 4/22. This was my tracking:

I first thought my card would be send from either the local field office from where I got the approval letter, or from Laguna Niguel. Anyway, it arrived very fast

So I received the email saying my new card was mailed yesterday, however like Huy-le there's no tracking #. No # either on the website.
I'll wait until Monday and if I don't receive it by then, I'll call to get the tracking #.
Where do the cards come from? If they come from CSC in Laguna Niguel I could have it tomorrow...

My card was send from CORBIN, KY 40701. Made it pretty fast though!

How we can have tracking number after they sent GC? I get email They sent GC but don't have tracking number. Can someone let me know and how to do? Thanks
After the email that your card is in production, they'll send you another one saying that USPS got your card, and they send you a tracking number. If the link in the email doesn't work, try on the "check my case status" site from USCIS. This one works for sure. Then you can track the delivery of your GC.

It's weird how some people get letters while others don't.

Laure&Colin, everybody receives the letter, but if you signed up for email notification, you know earlier that you got approved. Where I check my casestatus on USCIS, I signed up for email notification. I got approved on a thursday and right away got the email around noonish, and got the approval letter on monday. When you sign up for emails you can also track your GC after they sent it out to you. -

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I understand that you never received your NOA, and also not biometrics letter in the mail? She will have to fax or mail you something, I don't think you can go to biometrics without the actual letter. So maybe that's what she meant? As soon as you get something in printed form, you'll be able to verify if your case number is correct. I cross my fingers for you!
