Good news! My case was updated yesterday and it says that oath ceremony has been scheduled, so now it's just a matter of waiting for the letter to find out the date for my oath ceremony
-
And there we go again, with the waiting game with USCIS, but there's nothing else I can do
-
I just hope there will be no problem, the only thing I was asked and that it was not mentioned on the checklist was my birth certificate, but I did bring it with me and a copy of it. I also had lots of evidence but nothing was asked...

I just got back from my interview, it went well, English and civic questions went just fine and the interview was quite short maybe 15 to 20 min. Just going through the application and I was approved. I saw the officer writing approved on my file. She gave me a letter that was checked on I passed the tests and the funny thing is that it was XXXX on both congratulations and decision was not made and it was checked on all the options including to bring more paperwork and to report any change of address and to show up for oath ceremony and all those options.
She was like that's all have a good day... so I'm kinda confused but she did not gave me any other letter but that one and said that I was recommended for approval and to wait for the oath ceremony letter in the mail.
Kinda confused with the letter that was given to me though.
Thanks everyone for your help by the way!

It's not needed, but I would recommend it, I do understand your situation though, thank God the kids will be at school by the time I will be having mine next week and I asked my husband to take that day off, just in case
, can you get someone to keep an eye on your kid?

Thanks for your info and the link, I found out that the judicial ceremonies are held once a month at my field office so I'm guessing since my interview is in the middle of the month then it would be held in December... I really want to change my last name to my husband's because I have 2 last names due to being Latin and I really dislike that, so I guess it will take a bit longer but I prefer to get it done

Hello,
I'm having my interview next month and I know that in my field office if you are approved they tell you to go and get scheduled for the next oath ceremony... a friend of mine was interviewed on a Tuesday and she had her oath ceremony that same week on Friday.
My question is regarding a change of my name, I'm taking my husband's last name and I'm also getting rid of an "H" that makes my middle name sound weird in English... but could this delay the process?
Maybe just taking my husband's name would not be a big deal and I can leave my middle name the same?
Thanks for your help

Thanks for the advice, I'm having my interview next month and I'm preparing my evidence just in case... now I have to go through a bunch of paperwork

My case was scheduled an interview after 3 months and 10 days after biometrics, don't worry... if you do worry try to get a service request, which is what I did.. that's all you can do. Good luck, hoping you hear back soon!

Letter came in today, interview scheduled on November 14th

I hope to hear back by Tuesday, since Monday is a holliday

My case was updated to interview scheduled on October 6th which was Monday... I was hoping to receive the letter in the mail by today Friday, but nothing... I just want to know the date and time to make sure I get that day off at work... I called USCIS and said that it could take up to 30 days... what?
-
The mail came through today and no letter with date and time for my interview yet... my case was updated on Monday, hoping to get it tomorrow... I just want to know to make sure I get that day off..
-
Oh well, that's what they always say: WAIT... did you try to get a service request? Maybe at the end of the week if you don't hear anything try to get the service request, I'm pretty sure they got to my case because of it... that's if you're as impatient as I am ha!
-
Thanks for sharing the questions you were asked, I asked them to myself and got them right
-
Glad you had your interview already and congrats on passing the test... mine took a while to get scheduled for an interview (over 3 months after biometrics) and I was freaking out.. I'm waiting for the letter in the mail to find out when is it... hopefully it's in my mailbox today
-
Was your check cleared yet? or money ordered was cashed? That's a good way to know if they received it... cause it's taking longer than normal, my NOA is the very same day it was delivered and it took a couple of days for my money order to be cashed, so that's how I knew they got it, a couple of days later, I got the letter in the mail... hope you hear back soon
Although it could be that the Nebraska service center works slower... don't have any experience with it

You're already inline for interview, my case was stuck on initial review for almost 4 months, that's why I was calling all the time.. from what I understand you've been inline for interview for 2 months? if it's been that long then go ahead and call customer service they will tell you to wait and then ask them to talk to a L2 officer which takes forever, but once you can talk to a L2 officer ask him/her for a service request on your behalf they would let you know if you can or if you have to wait to get a service request.
Good luck, hoping you hear back soon

I got the yellow letter 2 weeks after my biometrics... still it took quite a long time to get scheduled for interview....
-
I did not get inline for interview... it went from initial review to scheduled for an interview... it took so long but I'm glad it just went straight to being scheduled instead of inline... it's funny how it's like that for some people... if after two months you haven't seen any change I suggest to call customer service, ask to talk to an L2 officer and get a service request... which is what I did. Good luck!

3 moths and 10 days took for me, between biometrics and getting an interview scheduled.
-
I tried both firefox and explorer and it didn't work for me

After all this time after biometrics, oh well today I got a text and an email saying that my case was updated and I was scheduled for an interview, woohoo!!!! Finally, I guess after the service request they finally got to my case... now to wait to get the letter in the mail to find out the date and time.... I can't wait ha!
Interview today and I was approved, but...
