    samosa some States they have jerks working there and they don't accept prima facie not even for food stamp, but most of the States accept prima facie for public benefits and to renew DL without problem.

    Hope you made out okay with all that snow...I have a question. I got a letter that USCIS has tranferred my case. When I looked up the address on the letter I found that it's a Psychological Treatment Center! Is this normal??

    Hi SandraNJ,

    Thanks for your reponse to my previous inquiries. My I-360 was aprroved and the approval noticed stated that I file an I-485. I already have one that is pending but I don't mind filing another one and noting that the fee was previously collected. My question is I already did my physical for my old I-485. Do I have to do it again? Also what do you think I should include with this new I-485 form that I'll be filing.

    This is what I'm thinking I should include. Please let me know if I'm on the right track.

    Birth Certificate

    Marriage Certificate

    Copy of Passport

    Copy of I-94

    Two pasport pictures of myself.

    Please keep in mind that I submitted all the above documents with my old I-485 which is now pending.

    Godisalive if your I-485 was reopened it means you will attend interview based in the form I-485 that you submitted .Did USCIS reopen the I-485 for sure???? They wont reject because is regarding a Vawa case,all cases with USCIS you can ask to expedite.I am just not sure if your I-485 was reopened, if it was then you still can get EAD based in the form I-485.Now you have just to wait.Good luck.

    Thank you. It was reopened last year May and now pending. It has been over one year since I turned in my I-693. Do I have to do it again? Is there any way around it? It cost me a little of $400 to do it in the state I'm in and I really wish I don't have to do it again. I'm thinking of writing a letter to USCIS stating that I'll be representing myself from now onward as my rep is unreliable. She's never ever there when I need her, she has never answered her phone and doesn't inform me of any letters I get from USCIS unless I go there. I feel as if I'm paying her for nothing so I want to continue the process of getting my GC alone. Do you think that's advisable or should I just let her finish? The only reason why I think of letting her finish is so that she can go to the interview with me but would I really need her?

    Hi SandraNJ,

    Could you please advise me on what to do? I filled for EAD in May based on a pending I-485. I filled that through marriage. It was closed and they reopened it after I filed I-360 in April 2011. The I-360 was approved in June 2012 but I filed for the EAD in May based on the pending I-485. USCIS sent me a request for Evidence July 3rd and I responded to it. I called them Thursday the 19th to expedite and they sent me a letter that I have to request the expedite in writing (I guess due of the sensitivity on my I-360 case). I exactly that this past Thursday July 26th 2012. I expressed it and they signed for it. I requested my EAD to be expedited based on extreme financial hardship and a job offer. I included a letter from my gas company stating they’ll shut of my electric, my electric bill, a notarized letter from my roommate that he’ll be kicking me out for non-payment and a personal letter including a letter including the offer letter from my the company that will be hiring me. I called my congressman’s office and they’re helping me but do you think they’ll reject their help because this is a VAWA case? Do you think they’ll even approved it because I filled it based on the old I-485? Do I have to file another I-485? I went to my local immigration office for help this morning and I left there crying because the woman in charge was very rude and nasty. She was of no help to me. I’m so messed up right now because I’m suppose to start this new job August 6th. Next week. I don’t know what to do. Please advise if you can.

    Hello All,

    Could someone please help me with an issue?? I got the letter USCIS sent me requesting initial evidence for my EAD . My Problem is my rep is on vacation for two weeks and she's booked after that untill first week of August and I really don't want to wail till then to send the initial evidence. All they're asking for are copies of my I-94 and a copy of my driver's license for identification purposes. Can I send these document to them on my own or do I have to wait for my rep. Please help!!! I'm in the process of looking for a job and I'll really need this EAD ASAP.

    Below is the letter I sent to USCIS. I sent the letter on June 8th, 2012 and they approved my case on June 22nd, 2012. Please make sure you sign the letter before sending. I have a question. On my letter, it says to file to go to my local USCIS office for I-485 application but I already have one that is pending from my marriage.

    Hello,

    My name is XXXX XXXXXXX. My case numbers are EACXXXXXXXX. I’m contacting your office because it appears my case is beyond the current processing time posted on USCIS.GOV. Please advise.

    I got two PF...the one that I currently have which is my second one is to expire in October...They never asked for RFE because I sent them all at one....I can't express how I feel...PLEASE ME MORE SPIRITUAL. NO MATTER WHAT YOUR RELIGION..PRAYERS DOES WONDERS

    On April 12, 2011, we received this I360 PETITION FOR AMERASIAN, WIDOWER, OR SPECIAL IMMIGRANT and request that the filing fee be waived. The filing fee has been waived and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.

    If the VAWA application is not free, why did they waive the filing fee...just a bit confusing.

    Oh I see.. I thought the VAWA application was $405

    Godisalive,if your receipt date is April 12th,what is your filing date(when you log into the USCIS website,what date shows as "on .................we received the petition for the I360............"etc?

    I believe that the application with paid fees got approved faster than those without...

    Hmmm...that's interesting...Could some of you please write down whether or not you paid for your application and how long it took to get it approved. Even if you're still waiting for an approval.

    It's been over 14 months

    I filed for a renewal of my EAD early May and I just got a receipt last Friday. On the receipt it states that USCIS received my application for EAD on May 31st. I guess my rep didn’t send the application during the first week of may when we filled it out. This is so frustrating because I expressed to her how urgently I needed the EAD and she waited till ending of May to send it. Anyway I filed this EAD based on a pending I-485 that I filed when my husband and I were together. I asked for a fee waiver and they granted it. Has anyone ever gotten an EAD approved based on a pending I-485 filed through marriage? Do I have to do another biometrics for this EAD?
