Thank goodness, it's finally here:-) I have received NOA today dated July 2nd.
Thank you so much for kind suggestions and comments.
As many of you suggested, I talked to lawyer after the post to figure out what's going on.
Looooong story very short, when my lawyer called USCIS today (before NOA came in mail), USCIS officer told her that my name is in the system (yay!) but could not give her any further information about my case since the form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney that she filled is expired and she has no right to speak on my behalf.
#######, right? I strongly believe the expired form caused delay in the process, and it took them over a month to issue NOA.
So tired of dealing with it but happy with outcome that USCIS decided to keep my application at least instead of sending them back with damned expired G-28! hahaha
At the end of the day, I still consider myself as May filer:)

No NOA after a month
I started preparing myself for worst case scenario (lost or return) and getting all the paperwork ready again just in case.
My GC will expire in 40 days so I guess I can wait about two weeks and see how it goes:) I hope I will get NOA sometime before that like tomorrow!! haha
Do you guys have any thoughts or suggestions concerning my next step?
I called USCIS and they said my application is not in their system. Check is not cashed (once I said it was, but there was miscommunication with my lawyer and she was the one cashed my check. Oh and I hired her for paperwork preparation, I am responsible for this type of issue.)
Thanks!

Where is my NOA??? Someone is being soooo impatient right here hahaha
Saylin, thanks for taking your time to update our status you are awesome
No citizenship for me either, I can't see myself being US citizen by giving up Japanese citizen.

to MVjapan : When did they receive your application? / When was your application delivered?
I can not spot exactly when they received it since my lawyer has the delivery confirmation number.
I assume that it was delivered yesterday, Tue. 5/28 considering long weekend.
Thanks Yurika & Jim for correcting the error.

Count me in May Filers:-)
My I-751 was sent on 5/24 under divorce waiver.
Does anyone know of someone who was approved/applied after divorcing their spouse? I've always wondered about the statistics on those cases. Maybe I should just mind my business
Here is someone who applied after divorce, just in case you are still wondering;) haha
I will give you update on my case in this forum for sure.

GC comes in USPS priority mail. It took 8days for me.
-
It is an approval notice, congrats:)
:) As it says, you will receive your notice in the mail within a few days, and then GC within 60days (usually a lot sooner)
When peope gets RFE the status also goes into "Request For Evidence" not "Decision" so don't worry about it.
-
Yes! They do have a tracking number lately since I got status updates such as
"The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on DD/MM/YYYY. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service"
and also when I recieved GC, status changed to
"The USPS reported that your new document was delivered on MM/DD/YYYY, directly to the address we had on file. If you did not receive your document, or have any questions, please call our customer service"
Therefore, if you haven't recieved any of these status above, It seems your GC most likely NEVER mailed to you. Nor lost in the mail.
So sorry to hear that you've been through difficult situation. Good luck!
-
i sent my RFE response on Friday. It reached there on monday, USPS left the note just like your case. On Tuesday morning, someone came to pick up the mail and my AOS case went into RFE under review the day after. Don't worry too much, give them a day or two:)
-
It's totally normal. But!
Your first notice is telling you that your card is in production.
And the 2ns notice you got is just letting you know they mailed you "welcome to the US" letter, not a GC:)
I also got online status changes such as
"USPS picked up your GC from the production"
"USPS delivered your GC to the address"
something like that in the same week:)
Congrats anyways. Soon enough you will recieve your GC!!
-
Mine was less than 10mins as well:) but actually there were 3more people wating after me. I'm sure it was linger waiting for them. So I would say each takes about 5-10mins + waiting time depends on the local office and the date:) good luck
-
Mine approved in about a month after transfer, without intervie:) But seems taking longer to everyone else roughly 1-3 months I guess...
-
Your profile says you filed for IR-1/CR-1? Is this correct? Did your wife enter the US with it?
-
We are so excited and happy! My wife's GC arrived in the mail on Monday! We are STILL waiting for her darn SSN card though.
Well at least the important one has arrived already. Thanks everyone for your wisdom and support!
Congrats on your green card:)
I also have waited for the damn SS card, for a month and half hahaha. Hang in there

FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY!!!!, My wife had her interview yesterday in Newark. Everything went greast. Officer was very thorough, however it felt like talking to your friend about our marriage/relationship. No stress at all. She told my wife you are approved and offered her congratulations. Today, I received my email. YES card production. Thanks to all here on VJ, this site proved great. Best of luck to all the april filers who are still waiting on a response. I trust we will have 100% approvals.
I'm guessing you might get GC in hand by now? Congrats:)
:) let's keep company here till all April filers get approved!
-
Still waiting and no touches since our case was transferred to CSC 3 months ago today.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I honestly don't understand how it's so difficult for them to approve all applications in order... Some takes a month, others wait 2-3months or even longer:( so as NOA.
I really hope yours coming next! Hang in there

Mine didnt work as AP since I didn't apply for it.
My EAD card says "Not valid for reentry to US"

we are in the boston office for our interview. there are a TON of people. our interview was supposed to be at 9:45 am, we arrived at 9:15 , but as of 11:15 we are still waiting
the lady up front is of no help and juat about everything I read doesn't mention a long wait to be called
I hope everything went good for you after all, give us some update:)
-
I couldn't find exact the thread I have read, but there were people recommended I-864 even though you live with the co-sponsor just to avoid a RFE. It said somehow people got RFE asking for I-864 form for your household member. Whole point was, be safe and prefered, you don't wanna get RFE.
There were so many info all over the web which made me confused as well.
I used form I-864A for my father in law who lives in the same house. Seems there had been no problem as the fact I got approved last week. I can't give you a legal educated advice, but I am happy with what I've done(I-864A).
Good luck:)
-
Congrats:) GC next!!!
-
Yap that's an approval:) congrats!!!
You might get another notice at the same day says they ordered the production of your new card:)
-
My GC approved today without interview
4months and 5days total, 1month and 3weeks after RFE response, 1month 4days after CSC transfer, which is not too bad at all
I am just sooooo happy
Wish you all the best
ROC case was transferred and no update yet

I filed ROC back in May. My case was transferred to CSC in Sep. as well.
I have just received approval letter from Atlanta field office, although I have not received CSC-Atlanta transfer notice.
It is possible that your case has been transferred to your local office (with no transfer notice) according to my experience!
USCIS system still indicates that my case is at CSC and it is under "initial review".
Hang in there
