Here we go again, USCIS is hiking application fees again, I wish they would fix the backlog, and customer service issues. people will pay for good product.
if you are thinking on filling an application, hurry up and save a buck.

He can collect unemproyement (i think up to 12 months for some companies) because unemproyement is insurance the employer pays for you; but he can not get extended unemproyement, or welfare or government assistance if he is under the conditional green card.

Wait, Wait, Wait, Save benjamins. if you are approved on your AOS you will get your card in 2 weeks!!!!!!

Unheard of how I-94 is valid and they say you left the country!!!! what a mess, follow up and keep pressing them and your senator on board
quick FYI, Since it is sometime cheaper to buy roundtrip instead on oneway, cancel immediately your return ticket so that maybe the airline dont mess up your record on last minute.
Good luck

Green card holder do not need visa to go to canada. just show your valid passport and green card or stamp and you are ok according to Canadian embassy website. and coming back you have no problem when you have stamp (I_551).

No, as long you had a follow up with doctors (infection desease) you should be ok. i dont even think you need a waiver, but somebody correct me if i am wrong.

Color of your hair, weight, height change. wont worry about it. as long as you are you.

A friend of mine just had the same issue.
Send the I-90 with supporting evidence such as, birth certificate, CR-1 paperwork, etc. dont send the fee. if for any reason they need fees they will ask yoyou do not need to send photos, and he wont do another biometric since it is a typo. He should get it back in 3months. once you send fees and it was USCIS fault you wont get your money back try to save that $290. if they RFE that's not big deal. in the meantime if he want to travel, or work he can get passport stamped while I-90 pending.
Good luck

I like the idea, and I think they should implement it. There are some issues just like milimelo mentioned regarding the photocopy of the GC, but they bloody have a copy of it. For example, if we lose the card, we will request a new copy - they don't need to see how it looks like to reissue it?
I agree but with your A# they should be able to see your eligility or history. When you go to the interview most IO havent even read your file anyways.

If USCIS makes a typo mistake on your document, you have to pay the price on a waiting game; but if it is your mistake they do not wait a minute to deny your case.
I-90 based on USCIS typo should be handled at the local office, here is how they can do it:
You take the mess-up green card, or EAD or any other approval documents (with evidences) show to the officer, if the IO finds that there was a typo mistake, then he/she can order you another one, easy and simple; everything is a click away on their screen.
For instance, when you have a typo green card, USCIS can stamp in your passport (via infopass) while waiting 4-6 months for the new card.
If USCIS goes This direction, they will improve their efficiency, and customer service satisfaction. It can help also on reducing work load to service center; so that they can focus on big picture.
What are your thoughts? I am trying to vent here!!

Reasons why N400 should go or have e-filling option.
1. Paper reduction (you have to bring originals evidence at the interview anyways and sign part 13 and 14).
2. Reduces misfiling or file early, document lost, and etc…
3. Reduces typos
4. Saves trees (go green)
5. Assurance to petitioner that the case got received (get NOA faster).
6. Saves petitioner USPS, FEDEX fees.
7. Able to pay by plastics since not everybody has cash.
What do you guys think?

Definately not shopping memberships, I am not sure about this online communities, my best guess would be not.

As soon as the divorce is final you can apply to remove the conditions; but like v333k say you need to have evidence of you entered in good faith marriage (very important). you can not stay with somebody that you are having problem with; this is not physically and emotionally good for you, I do not rullout marriage conseling. Once again welcome and good luck people here are very helpful.

Some ACS have walk-ins, I would think it will speed up only EAD and AP. Once they get your biometrics they issue the documents, I am not sure about the AOS but I will assume as biometrics come in, they update your file.

cool stuff, very interesting. it is amazing to see videos than reading because you get more idea on how things works, especially if you are a visual person.

I've heard that this January USCIS got so many applications, and with all holidays, they are a little (more) behind. they should be able to pull your record at the infopass, also if I were you I will take proof that they cash out your check; let us know what happen.
-
I will wait 30days and then make infopass or you can go straight to your congressman. Good Luck

Rescheduling your appointment is something to avoid as much as possible; however if I were you I will consult a lawyer like you are planning to so that you can see what he/she says. sometime lawyers can call the IO supervisor and see what they can do for you. by saying that you have to hurry up. good luck!

Also, take care of what you have control on. if your case gets out of processing time, dont delay to make an inquery.

I found that dealing with USCIS is not as horible as we think. there are some great ways to work with them and reduce the waiting time and RFE even avoid interviews.
Take care of what you have control on and leave the rest to them. ie:
Know what you are going to send.
READ instructions on the form(s) you are going to send.
WRITE down keys things: total fees, requirements, evidences, address
ENSWER all questions from top to bottom if some not applicable to you, put N/A. avoid leaving blank.
ORGANIZE, and be clear on your case; be professional ie: cover letter, fees, forms, requirements, evidences, etc... the better job you do this one you will not only avoid RFE but the IO will see that you are prepared and he/she will not spend time digging, and spending time, or put a side your case because he/she has to work hard. I've heard that IO usually work on the easy fast then the rest later.
SEND copies and leave the your self one and Originals.
Dont give to much or Less and DONT IGNORE requirements
MEET the deadline, avoid rushing.
If you are hiring a lawyer, do not settle without shopping around. Ask friends or here and critics (online) and interview him/she.
I hope this help someone there and if I forgot something, please share with us.

YES I will black out the account#, recomended by some lawyers too. I cant believe they RFE for that! in addition a cover letter is usually a good idea too.

I've heard many people now getting their AOS done before EAD arrives, generally EAD first
New fees

Removal of conditions will be affected by $40.
I think any increase without USCIS improvement is a ripoff, I guess money comes first.
