  1. Isn't you come to marry someone whatever citizen he/she for love? I guess this sounded like if some people will be greedy enough to think that USA is a better country and a better future for you won't make any sense for someone to come over to US. well there will be no better future for you.

For instance you will just annoy your partner by complaining you aren't happy blah blah blah. Better future will start from you not where you at! :)

  2. Hi everyone! Visa on hand today...

I just have few question. I did received my visa today it was approved October 5 and will expire on October 21. I understand that my medical will expire on October 21 and I know I have to enter the US before October 21.

    Here's my question:

Will it be a problem if my validity of my visa expire before the wedding?

Also on the visa it does indicate your petitioners name and address, my petitioner moved to a new place but on my Visa it's written the old address.

Will that be a problem at the POE?

    Thanks

  3. Even if your medical expires on October 21, and even if you are required to complete another medical, why would St. Lukes require you to undergo another TB test? St. Lukes already knows that you don't have active TB. I don't think you have anything to worry about regarding that issue.

I did called St.Lukes regarding this issue and the did clarify that when my medical expire I have to do the whole medical thing again and I asked them if that includes doing another SPUTUM TEST again and they did say yes :(

  4. Hi. It's so depressing reading all the testimonials re: Administrative Processing. Some of them are waiting for 10months now and we are still on our 2nd month of waiting. I cannot tell my hubby from the phils. coz he might get depressed about the news that's why I'm just telling him to just hold on and have more patience coz sooner or later he will receive his visa already. I will update when I get more info re: AP cases. Thanks

I know it's kinda depressing but he might need to know :) Keep us posted :)

Today I called the embassy and I got a kinda promising respond the girl says "PLease call us by Wednesday we might have some answers for you" so I hope something will be moving forward soon

  5. Hi. I just called 214-571-1600 and they have the list of all the applicants that was interviewed last August 2011 that their passport is ready to be delivered by 2go. Try to call them but they need ur passport #, case #, preference category and ur priority date. Try check it out.

My hubby is not part of it eventhough he had his interview last August 10th coz he is under AP so I'm kinda sad about it but I hope my info can help others.

Thank you for the information. Just sad because we have a Credit Card debt and I think this is one of the issue for my case :(

  6. Thank you for your answer. Hope you could post it here if you got answer from St. Luke. Just curious, because if they already knew that you have an inactive TB since you have done the sputum test, why is the result only last 3 months. Does it mean that you need to undergo another medical exam if in case you are already in the US so you could apply for AOS. Anyway, for now, let us hope for the BEST ! Just be patient, everything will be Ok in the end. Continue to trust in God for He knows best. I'm sure you get your visa soon. God bless ! :)

Okay as far as I know. Most of the people that has Class A or Class B have to go for another medical within 30 days of arrival in the US. Based from other peoples experience most of them that have Class B have to undergo for another SPUTUM test. I guess it's okay to do all of that while were with our love ones :)

  7. Usually AP lasts for 60 days and according to the information I got from NVC website if after 60 days you still didn't get your visa you can call and follow up with them. If it is less than 60 days all they can tell you is that it is under AP and i was told that it is an internal process and you cannot call or follow up with any office. I tried to call NVC and USCIS but they both told me to call the embassy where my fiance lives and when I called the embassy all they can tell you is that it is still under AP. I am still waiting for my fiance's visa up to now and it's been 3 weeks now.

After 60 days do you think next time we call they can give us an answer why were on AP?

    thanks

  8. Hi there ! just curious, why do you have to undergo another sputum test after your medical expiration? Did you have positive result of your sputum test ? I just thought if you got positive result you should have undergone medication first. If not positive, then why your medical result only last for 3 months ? Please explain....this is useful to others who may be going to have medical soon like me :) Thank you and appreciate your answer. God bless you and hopefully you get your visa soon. :)

When they release my medical result I sneak outlook on the paper I see that mine was Mark as Class B ptb. so I think since I had history then I will always have that scar in my lung but inactive TB.

They did not put me on medication so I believe that I am clear for TB. I am not sure why is my medical is only valid for 3 months. I will ask St.Lukes

  9. No need to worry. Your medical is valid for longer than three months. It's valid for at least six months, if not one year.

    Hi Tahoma!

When I got my result for my medical. They specifically told me that my medical is only valid for till October 21, 2011.

The reason is because I'm one of those that under go to sputum test. I guess I just have to wait for the embassies instruction.

    Thanks

  10. When the Embassy keeps your passport, it's a very good sign. It means that you will get your visa. The Embassy won't tell you why your case is under review, and you never know how long the review will take. You just have to wait. But, in the end, you will have your visa in your hot little hand and it will rock your world!!!

Sounds promising! thank you so much Tahoma!'

  11. what's the reason of being put on AP? and during your interview, did they tell you that your visa is approved or not? cause in my case the CO told me "welcome to the us' i guess that's the other term for congratulations and the Filipino guy at the final counter told me that my visa will just be delivered, maybe i am just being paranoid waiting, sigh :(

It means you were approved! But mine was when my number is called in then on the counter the guy just look at my paper and say wait for your number to be call at Window 70. Waited for 2 hours then I was interviewed in Booth 44. Then filipina girl asked me question and had me signed it as a sworn statement. then told me that they have to forward my case at the immigrant visa section for further review.

    They did keep my passport.

  12. Hi,

I did my interview August 9, 2011. The interview took 3 hours with the AP result. I am now on my 7th week of waiting for my AP result.

My medical report is only valid for 3 months and it will expire on Oct 21.

I have a TB history and I would like to ask anyones opinion. If it's wiser for me to do my medical soon since I knew that I will be under going on a SPUTUM culture so in case I'm out on AP then I had less time of waiting for my SPUTUM CULTURE test?

I am so desperate and really eager to come home to my fiance and children soon.

Any suggestion will be so much appreciated.

    Thank you!

  13. Over 8 weeks in New Delhi.

I tricked the DOS into admitting it's a background check, so at least I now know that much.

Someone else from India just got out of AP after 3.5 months but I think it was form Mumbai.

I think your AP is more related to checking the validity of the relationship, those seem to go faster so hopefully you'll be out soon.

ANYONE ELSE WHO POSTS - if you know why you're in AP, can you share that too so that we can get a feel for the time it takes based on if it's background check related or other. Thanks!

    7th week under AP.

How are you able to tricked DOS? that's a good one...

The most frustrating thing mostly is when we don't know why are we under AP.

  14. Hi..i also did my interview last aug.9, 2009. The interview went well..the CO didnt ask for any additional documents from us and she just ask me few questions about my fiance, his work, how i met him, when is the last time i saw him and thats it!It was a quick interview lasted for just less than 10 mins.or so.. After the interview the Consul just told me to wait for my number to be called on window 72 or 73. At the releasing window.. they kept my passport and told me to just wait for my visa and passport to arrive. I asked the girl how long will it take..and she said that they dont give specific date and time on when you will receive your visa and passport. Its more than a month now.. thats why me and my fiance are anxious about our application.. We tried to call the embassy almost every other day..and they just gave me the same answer.. "its still on the process and its a case-case basis".. I went back to USE this afternoon to personally check the real status of my visa. They let me come in, i went to the ticket booth for my number that will be called at window 38. I went to window 38 and inquire for the status of my visa, and the lady told me that its still on the process ( the same answer! ) I asked the lady what kind of process my visa is going into specifically..is it AP? and she told me yes! its stil under AP, i asked the lady why? coz upon the interview the CO didnt told me that it will be under AP she didnt even ask for any additional or supporting documents from us!.. I also asked her how long will it take and she told me "maybe two weeks"! we'll never know!! and all i need to do is to wait!. We're so anxious about this.. and were getting frustated already.. The big question i have in mind is that what seems to be the reason why I put under AP :( Im so worried that it might need us to wait for months or years before we get our visa approved. :(

Hi, I feel for you... but that's too bad that they did not tell you on the same day that you were under AP... God bless.

  15. My fiancée also put in to AP for the last three weeks at another USE. I contacted them and the only answer I got is “wait at least 4 weeks.” I also ask them if there is anything that I can do to facilitate the review; their answer was to call them if they took too long. I hope I will call them again. It is so frustrating to wait at the embassy after waiting that much long during the process. There is nothing that we can do.

I wish you a Good Luck

I'm sorry about your case too.... It is really frustrating because we don't know what really the problem is. Good luck!

The Embassy likely won't tell you the details of their review. You'll just have to wait until they are finished. Their review could take a few weeks, or it could take a few months. The good news is that they have your passport, which is a good sign. Good luck! :star:

    Thank you Tahoma!
