We just got an update yesterday - card is in production. No interview for my mother.

She received the card yesterday - 6 months and 25 days after filing. Not too bad.

Good luck to those that are still waiting and don't hesitate to call USCIS if you believe you're outside the processing frame

Our application was received October 31st, 2011 and we are still waiting!!!! Over 7 months! I was so happy when I found out it was being transfered to CSC. I hope we hear something soon.

Same here. I filed my mother's paperwork and it was received by them on 10/27/2011 and we're still waiting.

She did her biometrics on Dec 11th, 2011. We got the work permit in mid Feb, but nothing on the green cards as of yet.

I did call the national service center a couple of weeks ago to open an inquiry with the California service center. They only responded that our app was going to get processed as soon as possible (which is their generic template response).

I am now on hold again with their Tier 2 to see what's actually going on with our case. The previous rep I spoke to said the application hadn't been touched since Jan 24, 2012.

I seems that any case that reaches California is doomed to incredible delays, these people really need to get their act together.

Liz and Miguel,

my mother's AOS application is also still at the Initial Review step. We filed on Nov 28th. She did her biometrics on Dec 11th. She got her work permit on Feb 4th, but still no activity on her green card.

So I know how you're feeling. It seems like everything that reaches CA processing locations takes a long time.

Please let us know if you have good news

Any November filers still waiting for green card? We filed 11/25, completed biometrics 12/20, EAD approved and sent 1/27 and since then there have been no updates, I-485 is still in initial review. Anyone else have an AOS at the California service center?

Went to my interview yesterday and passed. The wait was minimal (which for LA is a big thing), but my interviewer was a bit frantic. He did not ask me to sign the back of my pics - did any of you have to sign them as in the instructional video? Waiting for the oat letter now... Good luck to all of you!

Hi All,

I am yet to receive an Oath ceremony letter from USCIS. My online status hasn't changed since July 7th, saying "you have been added to the oath ceremony queue". I am about to reach the 90th day since my interview on this week. Do you know what my options would be at this point so that I could gets to process completed? I have make an appointment with them on the 19th but I am afraid they would simple state whatever is already said on their website (as they do on their phone line). I've been reading the law back and forth for a week now, and it seems there's a way to get sworn in by a judge, but not sure if I would qualify for that.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Hi All,

I am a permanent resident with a pending N-400. I have passed successfully my citizenship and history test on June 14, 2011 and I am currently waiting for my Oath Ceremony to be conducted (possibly any moment, but not sure when exactly).

My parents are here on an extended summer vacation. They arrived on April 17th and can legally stay until Oct 16th (according to their I-94 forms).

My father will be returning back to Bulgaria as planned. My mother, however, would like to remain in the US as a resident. My wife and I have the necessary income to file her Affidavit of Support and intent to go ahead and file a I-130 once I am sworn in.

Our worries are that I may not be sworn in before the expiration of my mother's I-94. I have consulted myself with an immigration layer who seems to think overstaying would not be a big issue for USCIS since once I am sworn in my mom would be an immediate relative to a USC.

Does anybody have similar experiences or knows of anybody that has overstayed and then successfully adjusted their status in the same way?

Also, I would appreciate any advise on how I can speed up my naturalization ceremony. I am about to pass the 90th day since my interview without an invitation for a ceremony. I have made an InfoPass appointment for the 19th of this month, but I am not sure what to say to them when I get there.

All sensible advice would be highly appreciated.

hi everyone, I am a US citizen and I am going to apply ( I-130) for my parents. so, do I have to file them a seperate application(I-130) or I can apply for both of my parents in one application. Can any one help me on this matter please.

Hi manojgautam, I am about to do the same thing for my parents. You have to file one I-130 per person, or two total.

Are yours in the US already like mine? I will also be filing I-485 for both of them. I was wondering what category should they be listed under - if anyone knows, I would really appreciate your input. Thanks
