    Good luck guys..

Hi Hitu, My nvc case completion date is 14th july but I got interview date in 3rd week of sept. Yours was completed on 14th july and you got interview date in 1st week of sept...how come.....I do not know...do you have any idea...best luck

  2. Hey pal, one thing you mentioned totally wrong in your earlier post by saying that you have relatives in usa..Why??? ...now you are saying you have relatives only in india and dubai...well....one more thing....they know all family tree ...i mean your relatives ....if you can ask them they can tell you name as well....okay about security check ....now i think that is possibility...anyway that we knew after you told your background....one more thing ..though it is very personal but never hate the land where you born...pay homage to it every way you can......Where in the world you can best celebrate marriage......the ANSWER IS INDIA....marriage is institution in india......MY BEST WISHES with you...please do not give them what they have not asked you.....do not invite trouble yourself...it will not be counted as plus point anyway.

  3. Hi, First of all...security check in not the problem here....he was asked to submit documents...so if you guys work on why CO think that he or she should get married in india then there must be something in his case that alert CO that he or she is married ......even not engaged.....THERE MUST BE RED FLAG IN YOUR CASE...you can not find out it is different thing....work on why CO think like that....rather than teaching them what you are thinking....argument has no place in any US Consulate in world....put yourself in place of CO...then you will understand problem at hand can improve you chances next time.....please do tell us your religion and which state of india you belong to....one more thing.....IT ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT MATTER TO CONSULATE WHETHER YOU ARE PRESIDENT OF THIS WORLD OR MOST RICH PERSON IN THIS WORLD....for them everything is same.....so make no mistake of thinking that you both are working as an executive so CO will approve visa....best of luck..

  4. Hi Hr8687, Most important thing is .....PLEASE mention what they have asked to submit.......help is available here if you be honest to tell everything clearly....that will be very useful next time you submit anything with consulate.....please tell us exactly what they have asked to submit...word by word....no vague detail....this information itself will tell many things to VJ member who are helping you out....thanks...please forgive me being more sarcastic....

  5. from what you said you case has no red flags....but they might have told you why they denied visa ...i mean reason with detail....any mismatch in information you said in interview and evidence you submitted to them on paper....please work on why they felt that this is not genuine relationship....once you rule out solid and precise reason of your refusal....anybody can give you advice

  6. Here is detail

    1. I got speeding ticket when I was driving at speed of 80 mph(normal

speed limit was 65 mph). I paid $ 115 for same.

    2. I paid $ 50 penalty because I lost ticket while checking out

    through sub-way station.

This is regard to ds-230 question as following...

Have you ever been charged, arrested or convicted of any offense or crime?

I am really tense about what to write and if I write it down then i am not eligible to receive visa......please help help

    Thanks

  7. Hii All

My husband went for his CR1 interview yest with the embassy and he received a 221(g) with I think its says "AP" on the bottom right corner.

    1. Is that how they usually specify an AP?

    2. The CO asked for 4 things - a. Proof of communication between me and my husband since we got married.

    b. Honeymoon proof like hotel receipts.

    c. Joint bank account or joint credit card or joint property

    d. Post marked mail(greeting cards etc) between me and him. (which we didn't really send) We mostly send emails/chats and cards through mutual friends or family who were traveling.

I will be leaving to India soon to take care of the joint bank account and the joint credit card. Do you know if me being a US citizen can do that with banks in Mumbai or in the US? I only have a visit visa for India. I also did file a married filing jointly tax return for last year(2010) and still waiting on the ITIN.

    3. We had a very very short honeymoon because I was in India for only about 3 weeks. We basically stayed 2 nights in 2 hotels. After much calling around we received the hotel bills but since my husband checked in, the bills only have his name. Is that ok? We do have a ton of pictures from the places we went to.

    4. We need to submit these documents to VFS and then they said they would let us know. Has anybody been through an AP process in Mumbai? Do you know how long it takes?

I'm pretty frustrated and tired but trying to keep a positive attitude throughout this whole thing. I know they are only doing their job and making sure we do have a bonifide marriage relationship.

Thanks for any info that might help.

Hi, I am in same boat. It will be great help if you can post your interview experience. That also help us why they have asked you for this evidences. Thank you very much.
