    Now waiting for NVC to receive our petition in order to get our SDO number...is it safe to assume that if nothing goes wrong, that it will take a month for me to get a date in sdo?

      Maybe not always the rule. I just looked at this link and there is no posting for September. Last scheduled appt is in august. So dont know what that 'gap' is about..... PM me if you have any questions. http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/scheduled_appointments.html

      Every time I had checked the SDO website in the past, there were two months of appointments posted concurrently. Not sure why September isnt posted....

      yay! congrats. i noticed that the august schedule wasn't loaded until after the month of august was started....so i don't know how it goes but it'd be nice if they at least get the beginning/mid october released so there is a true 1 month notice. keeping our fingers crossed for you too!
