hi everyone!
anyone here whose fiance is from manila and the petitioner is self-employed?
we're preparing our documents for the interview and we've received mixed feedback if they accept co-sponsors.
we also need info as to what kind of proof we can prepare to show sustained income since my fiance is self-employed.
please help!
thanks!

hi fellow june filers!
just wanted to wave a big cyber hello to everyone
our noa1 was dated june 25.
keeping our fingers crossed like the rest of you for an noa2 very very soon!
it's great to keep each other company during this 'trying times'

hi everyone!
we're currently preparing our documents for the K1 visa interview after noa2.
my fiance (the USC) is self employed. we have no idea what kind of tax forms or proof of income to prepare!
we're aware of the requirements to prove the petitioner's financial support capability but it's tricky for someone who's self employed and doesn't have a fixed monthky income.
we're hoping someone here who's on the same boat can shed some light on this.
thanks!

Glad to hear the fever is gone!
They dont scan for fever at the embassy so no need to worry about that.
The kid just needs to rest and drink lots of fluids.
In case the fever comes back, just give Paracetamol (Tempra) and it usually normalizes the body temperature for about 4 hours.
I guess the real thing you guys need to think about is what's causing the fever? I hope it's nothing serious.
Good luck on the interview!!!

Thanks for the quick reply!
So when I go for the interview I need to bring 2 NBI certificates - one with my current name and one with my former married name. Is that correct?
I'm glad there are people like you out there who are willing to share their experience. It helps others avoid future hassle. Thanks again!

hi everyone!
im preparing my documents for my interview while still awaiting my NOA2.
i'm curious if i would need 2 separate NBI clearance since I was also known for another name when I was married before.
i'm thinking they might require me to present an NBI clearance for my current name and my former name (with my ex-husband's surname).
it might sound a bit stupid, but it's better to be sure than sorry and have my visa approval delayed because of a missing document.
if anyone has an experience on this or know anyone with the same situation, please do share.
THANKS A LOT!

thanks for the advise. sorry if i sound like im worrying about nothing.
are u guys suggesting that i send in a totally new application with all forms/documents as new?
im asking this because the letter i received from them says that i should just prepare a new correct fee and when i submit again, i should include the rejection letter they sent to me as the first page of my application.
so i hope u understand why im hesitant about a new form without explanation.
thank you all for your patience and guidance to clueless worrier like me.

Thanks for the quick response!
Im just hesitant to send in a new form without an explanation letter because of the stamps they put on all the pages; it's like theyre marking what you initially sent. Im not sure the stamps are for and i dont want any cause for an rfe down the line.

Hi vj members
Our application was sent back to us with a letter saying that the application was rejected due to wrong amount in the check.
Here are my questions:
1. I sent in $350. How much exactly is it supposed to be?
2. I noticed some errors on my G325a. When i resubmit the application, i plan to include a new edited form but my concern is that uscis stamped all the pages in the initial application. What's the right thing to do here? Maybe send a revised one with an attached letter explaining the error and they should disregard the old g325a?
Anyone with a similar situation please share your experience.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone!
We think that we will get an RFE due to some errors in the G325a.
When should we expect to get this? It usually comes after NOA1 right?
Anyone who has experience with RFE, please share your timeline on the RFE here.
THANKS!

great! thanks for the quick reply guys
was wondering though, which one would be faster to use - fedex or usps? like everyone else, everyday counts for us so any route that would help speed up things would be the way to go.
i don't think i've ever seen the physical address of the dallas lockbox - where can i find the address?
thanks again! it's always good to know there's a forum we can turn to for any confusion

Hi everyone!
Are they strict about us using usps only to send in our application for k1 visa and for rfe's or is it ok to use fedex?
(We had a typo error in one of the G325a and we only realized it after sending it out. We're just lucky we were able to request usps that they send it back to us first so now we have a chance to correct the mistake and we can send a totally new form together with the k1 application) that's why we wanna know if fedex is ok, it might be faster?

hi everyone!
we finally completed our K1 visa application and got it sent out today. now, the waiting begins. we're both excited and ready to face what's ahead of us.
we only have one concern though...for the G325a of the petitioner, there was a typo error on the employment in the last 5 years. in one of the entries, the year typed in was wrong so when you see the employment history, it doesn't appear right.
i need to know what would be the effect of this on our application? will this lead to an rfe or just be looked at later on when the beneficiary goes for an interview?
thanks to all the contributors in here. it made our application a lot easier with all your inputs!

congratulations to the both of you!!!
my fiance is also from the philippines and we are just about to start our journey into getting us together in the US to get married and start our lives together.
it would be great if you can share your experience with us.
thanks!

sounds like thats enough proof
one question though, for these proofs, do they need to be original documents (ex. actual boarding pass) or photocopies are acceptable?
im also at the stage of preparing the i129 packet so it woild be great to hear from u guys what u actually sent.

hi everyone!
i just want to know if any of you have a similar situation like me. it would help if you could share your experience.
my son (6 years old) will be petitioned by his US Citizen father (my former husband)
Our marriage has been annulled 2 years ago.
We have all the legal documents to show that he is the biological father & that we were annulled.
Is there any possible conflicts/issues we have to look out for in this situation?
Thanks in advance!

thank goodness i found this thread!
additional question though, what would be the proof of sustained income for the present period if the only thing a self-employed person would present is the tax transcript for the past year?
i saw an old thread before but i cant trace it anymore and the petitioner said that his fiance was asked for additional documents during the interview to show current sustained income.
my fiance/petitioner owns a restaurant but i dont think he pays himself monthly through his bank account.
so he may not have documentary proof to show that he has a steady income from his business.
any ideas?
thanks well in advance!
