  1. Hi, I'm from Mexico and had my interview 7/9, the consul told me too that it had been approved and just told me to check the status of the dhl via internet. My interview was on a Wednesday, I checked Thursday and Friday and there was nothing there, they updated it on Monday and I picked up the visa on Tuesday. I am telling you to relax, if they told you it was approved, then it is. They are apologizing on the site for visa delivery delays, and people at the Consulate or Servicio de Visas are known for not giving accurate information over the phone. They wouldn't just make the decision that some documents are missing and not tell you about it. I'm sure the visa is on it's way.

  2. hello all,

I have received the letter from NVC that with our case number (cdjxxx...). When I follow the instructions to schedule an appointment on http://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx, I am asked for an NVC invoice number. I have found a web-site that indicates that my date of birth is the invoince number. With that said, the web-site is not accepting our case and invoice number. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks.

  3. The police records are not required, the packet actually tells you that they are not available in Mexico. (:

Hi, I'm from Mexico, recently got our NOA-2, I lived in Canada for about 8 months... I am very worried about police certificates, it is the only thing we need to have all the documentation needed for the interview... I was very surprised when I read that you don't need police certificates, how come?

What about the one from Canada? they didn't request the police certificate at the interview?

Sorry for all these questions, it is very hard to find people in my situation... Any help would be appreciated...

    Caro.

  4. Hello everyone, I need some help, the situation is this:

I am a mexican citizen who lived in Canada six years ago for over 6 months, I now live in Mexico City... Because of that, I need a criminal record check from Canada to go with my K1 visa paperwork... The issue here is I need a set of fingerprints taken at a police agency in Mexico to then send that set to Canada for them to do that certificate... I've been to many many police agencies here and no one is willing to do that because, they say, "we just don't do that".... The Canadian Police even offers to send the form for the police officer to just fill but they refuse to do that too... I really need this fingerprints because I really need the police certificate but I don't know how to proceed from here...

Mexican police officers are just not willing to do it and I feel like I'm stuck...

I was hoping some of you had any ideas or have been in the same or similar situation and could give me some advice... I would really appreciate it...

  5. Hi everyone, my fiance and I sent the I-129F in mid-February because we read that it was taking around 5 months to get the NOA2. I am currently in Mexico doing social service in order to get my MD degree late July... After looking at some timelines, we started freaking out since we might get approved before July... The problem is I am not able to go to an interview before July because of the social service..

My question is, once you get the NOA2 for how long can you delay the interview???

    Thanks a lot! :D
