Are the children in the US  ?and how old were they when adopted

Yes they have been in the USA since 2011. I can apply for a US passport for them 2 years after the adoption which will be Aug of 2018. The lady I talked to at the immigration information phone line said they don't need the N600. We have received updated birth certificate (showing adoption) from the state of California. They were 13 & 9 they are 14&10 now

  2. I am so sorry I guess I am wrong this must be something new we did not need this in 2011 for my wife or 2012 for her daughter. Most Government websites end with .gov

I do know that several websites try to get people to send in money my wife received a few even after moving to the states. Again I am very sorry I didnt mean to mislead you in anyway Thank you to the people who pointed out my mistake

  3. We noticed when looking over the paper work for my wife to become a citizen (9 months away) that there is an option for her to change her name My wife will keep her name but she and her daughter wish to change her name (its to hard for Kids her to say) to her nickname that every one at school calls her. Is there a way to change the Name of a minor child during the process or does she have to wait until 18 as I understand she will become a citizen when her mom does is that right ? Thanks for any help Daniel

  5. Well it all varies depending on what work you are in and what part of east bay you leave in. Rents can vary from 1000 to as much as 10-15000 depending on what you want. Pay is based on your line of work. Fuel is more expensive there right now about $3.50 a gallon vs 3.30 a gallon in the valley and food prices are a little higher

  6. We are filing to remove conditions in Jan. I looked online and from what I can tell it is a $590 fee for my wife and is it only a $85 charge for her son who is only 6 Is this right? And another question if anyone might know when we file for citizenship after 3 years how do we file for her minor son is he just included with hers and does he become a citizen as well? Thank you for any help Daniel and Theary

  7. Unfortunately this just happened to a find of mine, she was still able to have her conditional status removed because she had friends write letters saying she was inlove and wanted to marry my friend and he left her forcing her to file for a divorce which was lies. I would suggest sending all your copies of proof to homeland security with a letter explaining the situation and pray for the best. Make sure to include her A# if you have it

  8. It's not possible.

There is no good reason to let you bring in a foreign worker who would take a job that can go to a US resident. If you need a nanny, there are many qualified US residents who can do the job. No reason that a opportunity for a job in the US shoul go to a foreign person outside the US when an unemployed U person could use the work.

Not to many Americsn people speak Khmer snd if they do they do not want work as a nanny but thanks for yourb imput Daniel

Thanks you everyone for your reply I figured it was a long shot but had to ask to be sure Daniel

  9. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to bring my wife's former nanny to the states to work for us If it is possible how would I file for it. She is from Cambodia also. Thanks in advance Daniel

  10. I called the NVC yesterday to check to see if our IR-1 / CR-1 case is complete and I was told we have an RFE for a Cambodian Police Certificate. My husband is Canadian (and currently lives in Canada) but lived in Cambodia for a year from 2007-2008. From everything I've seen a police certificate from Cambodia is only available if you have proof of current residency (which he obviously does not). I spoke to the NVC about this as the reciprocity list on the website is vague as well. The woman I spoke to said that we have to have it or a letter from the Ministry of Justice in Cambodia that says it's not available. Has anyone else run into this? I've tried calling and emailing the Cambodian US embassy, the US embassy in Cambodia and the Ministry of Justice in Cambodia but there's been no answer, full voicemail boxes or the emails have bounced back. This is all we need to complete our case. Any advice?

I keep trying to leave a message but it keep kicking me out. I would just mail a letter to the embassy they never answer the phone and it takes forever to get a email to the or from them. They send a email back saying re email using a special saying in the subject bar like 2nd email or something like that other wise you get canned response. USPS has flat rate international for like $29. If you need more help my wife has a cousin that works in the ministry maybe she can make a phone call (just inbox us) Good luck

  11. The same thing happened with myself and my ex wife (from Mexico). As long as you did not move here with the intent to marry You can file for and adjustment of status along with the 130 once you receive notice of receipt you should be able to stay (she was) and I do have a friend who married a guy from Columbia that was he was allowed to stay also. As long as you come legally and did not plan to marry when you came here you should be ok

  12. We took about a 1000 pages of skype and yahoo messenger they just thumb through the first couple and last page i think looking at dates then hand them right back to us. I would not suggest printing them all maybe a few pages from each week and emails phone records any western unions and pictures. Then make sure they know everything about you from the car you drive to how much you get paid and where you work anything you can think of they will ask

  13. Alla now has an interpreting/Translating business here. She recently had a client, an old Russian man, in his 80s, who is hospitalized. Mostly his daughter (now a US citizen) interprets for him but she is not always available, so they have been using Alla when his daughter is not available

He asks Alla how is it she came to live in the US and she tells him she met her US husband when he was working in Ukraine. OMG! She is a traitor to the "Soviet Union" The Rodina (motherland) blah blah blah. OMG! So Alla asks him how is it HE is here? Oh, he was petitioned by his daughter, who is now a US citizen, who met her US citizen husband when he was working in Russia.

I like this one My great great grandparents were from Kiev so I always enjoy meeting people from the Ukraine and asking questions about it. I plan to visit and like to find out the places to go. The younger people are always nice and give me alot of places to visit but the older people say there is no reason to visit my bloodlines have long ago left the Ukraine. Oh well I will still go one day
