We first met on the internet in November of 2008, in a group discussion forum called “ I speak Portuguese” on the social networking site Facebook. Our relationship initiated through the internet became serious over the course of six months, when we finally had the chance to meet in person in May of 2009. On May 22nd, 2009, Josh was on summer vacation from college and went to stay with Thamara and her family in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. We lived together over the course of three months during the summer of 2009, until Josh had to return to college on August 13th, 2009. Our relationship continued long distance, for a year and two months, when we reunited in Brazil on November 1st, 2010. Josh spent his Fall Semester of 2010 studying in Rio de Janeiro Brazil which enabled us to be together again. We would have been together earlier in the Fall semester of 2010 but Thamara was in Bournemouth, England on a study abroad from January 2010 to November 2010. We spent the first week of November 2010 together, and the whole month of December as well as the first week of January 2011 together, in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. We became engaged on Christmas day of 2010 and are very excited about our future lives together!
