  1. We filed Ajustment of Status (I-485); EAD (I-765) and Advance Parole, all at one time, June 30, 2010.

    My docs expire August 19, 2011. I sent in a copy of my Work Permit and the Notice of Action from the

    Adjustment of Status that it was received and we paid $1010.00. I have an email to DHS.GOV, but I'm

    worried that as busy as they are they won't respond in time for me to do whatever is needed to do.

    Hmm.

    Is the new filing fee $1070? When did the new fee increase take effect?

It's rare to find someone who also qualifies for that as the majority of the people here are coming in to the US as K-1s.

    If you qualify, then you can use it.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    I did use this. Much easier than full I-864, but...

    now I got interview letter and according to it, USCIS wants me to bring with me the whole IRS office <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> (half of the text is about the tax - the other 49% about children)

    That's my question for VJ's who use the I-864W form..... what did you take to the interview (tax wise)

    <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Take documents that verify your basis for filing the exemption.

    <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    thanks pushbrk!

    that's exactly what I thought, however the documents for that is a one for paged piece of paper <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> (Soc Sec statement)

    that's why I am asking for life experience.....

    do you really think that it will be enough for our beloved USCIS paper loving people <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whistle:" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

    I think that another InfoPass will shed some lite (hopefully)

    <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    If your one and only basis for the waiver is documented by the SS statement, then that would be the documentation you need. Is there something else that would be relavent?

    <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    IMHO and according to the I-864W instruction, no. That's the only piece of info they needed. Must be enough because there was no RFE...

    must be the same story like with the Birth Cert for USC. People saying that US passport and/or Natural. Cert. was sufficient enough.

    Wondering how this turned out for you as i am preparing to head down the I-864W path. Did you need anything else at the interview or was the social security statement sufficient? Also did you order a certified copy or use the one mailed out each year. Thanks in advance.
