alberto&asni: I do hope you get your date soon! I have till Jan to POE, so all is good. I didnt really have that much stuff...just the required items. they dont really have the time to flip thru all your evidence and will just ask you questions. My guess is if yours is a straightforward case, there should be no issues! good luck!

ceremonial is 27nov in Krabi and legal is 13 dec in SF. We decided my POE to be later for job and the asia wedding reasons. good luck for your interview! I'm sure it will be fine.

You actually need a week at least. I think there was some technical issue happened during the week i was waiting for my visa. not sure if its a common thing. why does she just interview where she is from?
-
A week. But i would recommend going back 2 weeks later. I went after a week (coz they said it would be ready), but it wasnt ready. So, i came back a week later.

It took about a week to get the date. However, as I went to the USA for holiday, i requested for an interview after the 12 July...they gave me 13 July. I would imagine the dates would be less than a month (i got my mail early June)

APPROVED!

I sent my papers in on a sat...and got a letter in the mail the following monday with the interview date (about 8 days?)
From NVC to Singapore...about a month i think. it is a bit messy on the USA side informing us that we were approved...and about 3 weeks later, i got the documents from the embassy. we actually didnt hear from NVC much later

i got my interview date for 13 July..coz i told them I'm away till 12 july. how efficient is that!
-
When NVC is cleared and the case goes to the local US consulate, then the packet from the US embassy will be sent to us. I got it around 1st of May actually...and we were received the approval about a month before. I think it states on the letter that you only send in the DS-230 form when everything is gathered. Singapore is rather efficient (as in...for interview dates).

The vaccinations required at MMR, DPT, Varicella and Influenza. I did most of them at Tan Tock Seng coz its cheaper...but at Tan Tock Seng..they did ask me to check Hep A, Meningococcal and Pneumoccocal as well..as these were questionable. On hindsight..i should have called the clinic beforehand and save myself from 3 less jabs

the cover letter is quite simple..it just states your name, case number, what you are applying for etc etc. you need to make a copies of that coz the medical folks wanted that as well (and 2 passport pics as well). For medical, we didnt need to do all the vaccinations, i can send you list (i assume you are over 21). I got the jabs done at Tan Tock Seng Travellers Clinic coz they are cheaper

Yes, you would need a letter. The US embassy sent a packet to my house which include a cover page, instructions on forms to fill, the forms itself and the medical details. You have to make a copy of the cover page and download the Police COC form online (and you need 1 or 2 passport size pics-SG). The police HQ is at Cantonment road, Outram MRT. it takes 10 days.

Not yet. I'm heading to SFO for a holiday in about 3 weeks. I've asked them to schedule the interview when I get back...coz..if i do the interview before and get the visa..i would need to get married in SFO asap!
i did all the medical (i'm sure you have to do that as well). A lot of the stuff on the list I did not need to take coz its not age appropriate. Good luck on...
