My husband went to the interview and they gave him a paper that said to bring police clearance and birth certificate. The person that interviewed him kept his passport. We submitted all the evidence on the 01/19/2021. Until today we haven t heard back front the US consulate. I sent them an email on the 01/20/2021 to let them know that I have submitted the required documents. Until today I haven t heard back from them. How long should I wait to contact them about the status of the visa ?

The person that helped me submit the petition for my husband forgot to put his ex wife informations. the documents are already in the embassy waiting for interview ? Should I contact the embassy To let them know before the interview or should I contact the uscis ?
