  1. Thanks! The non profit org is a good idea. I am essentially doing the similar for my state and using Avvo.com. I have only gotten a few hits back but am still hoping I can find my golden goose lawyer just like I found my forever love :)
  2. Yup I have searched pretty extensively here. The thread mentioning Allan Lolly I actually replied in and the couple that used him didn’t really recommend him, so I am continuing the search :’)
  3. As title states, looking for some reputable attorneys that handle AWA waivers. I am damn sure that I can get an exception for my case but don’t want a bad attorney to mess it up. Google is not reliable and the ones that turn up don’t have great reviews (misfiled things or are slow) and Avvo is hard to search for this specific thing. Wondering if anyone can recommend some GOOD attorneys that have AWA experience
  4. Thank you so much for the fast and detailed reply. It sounds like they spend more time on marketing than on the cases. That’s very good to know. I wish this website had a good section for lawyer reviews/referrals to reference.
  5. Hey there, I am starting the CR1 process and am similar situation where I fear my old case may be AWA. Would you recommend Lolly as an attorney? I just reached out to them based on this thread Congrats on your acceptance!
  6. Thanks for all the input, I was fairly aware of the AWA. It’s tough as my case may potentially fall under it. Although it was expunged at a state level I believe I would still need to disclose it regardless. If anyone has some recommended attorneys to talk to about this, or link me to relevant threads (I tried searching on here but nothing too informative turned up). Again, thanks for all the help!
  7. Hi there, We are planning to start the process soon with an Iranian spouse that has residency in Italy and an American spouse that has a criminal history (misdemeanor expunged at the state level) We are wondering if it’s worth getting an immigration attorney as our case is fairly unique and different and I know crimes can affect the process a lot. I also have heard that immigration attorneys can be a waste and even mess up the process as well Would appreciate any input on this?
