July/Aug/Nov Approvals awaiting NVC receipt/processing

Greetings, VJ'ers....

Looks like a lot of people are hung up on this step of the process. Might be beneficial to have a thread for the folks still waiting for NVC to receive their case, so we can update each other as we get information.

I have seen several threads where the case was approved but NVC hadn't received it yet. What is up with that, it should only take a few days.

I've heard rumors (nothing more than that) that CSC is just sending one BIG shipment to the NVC every 4 to 6 weeks, which adds not only the possible 4-6 week delay but also the delay of NVC parsing through the huge drop of cases all at once.

Not sure what the real deal is. I've seen a couple other posters who had their I-129f approved just a few days before mine and they made it to the NVC within a week! If the "monthly shipment" theory holds any water, they should have my petition within a couple weeks.. Hoping it's not too long. <fingers crossed>

For what it's worth, I just spoke to a customer service representative at the NVC. I asked her directly about the "one-shipment-a-month" rumor. Her reply was that she heard the same information from sources inside the NVC (though she could not confirm anything).

So I'll do as they suggest and sit on my hands and start calling once a week until I get word of progress

How does this step work?? I read that after NOA2 is approved and you recieve the letter. I should call NVC in about 2 weeks to check if they recieved/approved my paperwork?? Is this true? I did not recieve my letter yet just my email update. Someone please fill me in. ( BTW i do read rules, I just like hearing from other people, It gives me much relief)

Yep, there's nothing we really can do at this point but wait. After approval, the petition is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC), who then forwards it to the correct embassy. Unfortunately, for some folk, it takes months for the package to get mailed from the service center to the NVC.
