Hi, Did you pay for this? I read here that it is not needed anymore but on website it still says to pay it.

Just making sure I dont need to pay this. Or should I go ahead and pay to be safe? To those who just recently done with their interview; did you pay the 650 doc verification. Salamat.

We paid the Document Verification Fee in November 2008 , Between the time of Medical Exam at Saint Lukes and Visa Interview . But that was a few months ago , im not sure if they are still doing the Document Verification . But i think they are , the document verification is for your Police Clearance , NBI CENOMAR is still valid . Which means to make sure you still have no criminal record , and still not married , when you go too your Visa Interview . I would check the Usembassy in Manila website , or call the Usembassy to see if they are still doing the Document Verification . If the website says to pay the Document Verification Fee , or they tell you too when you call Usembassy . Then i suggest to pay it before your interview , it allso says if you dont pay the Document Verification Fee before the day of your Visa Interview . They can delay your Visa Processing for a period of time , the only fee you pay in Usembassy is the delievery of your visa (Air21) after Visa Issurance . That's only if you pass your Visa Interview .

document verification fee is not needed anymore since october of last year

you just have to bring your CENOMAR when you have your interview already

+1 The USEM website and K visa directions no longer show document verification: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

No need to pay effective date: Oct. 2008 due to long list of backlogs NSO can no longer handle the document verification thing. That's why they NSO and USEM agreed to cancel document verification.
