Aloha kakou,

A time or two on here, I have seen mention of a PAL "first time immigrant" discount of 20%. Can anyone give me details??

AOS Journey

01/18/08 - Mailed AOS packet to Chi-town

02/05/08 - Received Notice for Biometrics

02/23/08 - Received Notice for Interview (AOS)

02/26/08 - Scheduled Biometrics Done!

03/11/08 - Received Notice of Approval (AP)

03/13/08 - Card production ordered (EAD) Gee! Thanks a lot!!

03/21/08 - Approval Notice sent (EAD) Yahoo!!

03/24/08 - Touched & received EAD card today!! Yipee!!

03/25/08 - Scheduled Interview (AOS) Approved! Thankful!!

03/26/08 - Notice mailed welcoming as new permanent resident

03/28/08 - Card production ordered!! Wow!!!

03/31/08 - Received welcome letter.. Nice!

04/04/08 - Received green card through mail! Truly great! Mahalo nui loa!!

As far as I remember, it is not directly offered by PAL but thru the travel agents. Sometimes K1s are not given the discount as it is a non-immigrant visa but other K1s have had success. Just scout for travel agents that would give the discount to a K1.

aww i didnt know this.. :( i paid my plane ticket very expensive!!!! :wacko:

K3 VISA:

09/20/06 - I-130 Sent

10/03/06 - I-129F sent.

10/10/06- I-129F NOA1

11/28/06 - BOTH I-129F & I-130 approved!!!!

12/27/06 - NVC Left case no. assigned MNL 200685XXXX

01/26/07 - Received Packet 3

02/27/07 - Received Packet 4

03/01-02/07 - Done with my Medical Appointment at St. Lukes

04/17/07 - Interview at U.S Embassy - got the blue slip..on AR

07/05/07 - Went back to US Embassy submitted new affidavit of support for my K3, we'll wait for decision, still on AR

07/24/07 - OMG!!!! I cant believe it I got my K3 Visa in hand!!!

08/09/07 - Arrival in the U.S - POE at LAX

AOS:

08/27/07 - Sent AOS and EAD

08/29/07 - Chicago Lockbox received both AOS and EAD

09/18/07 - Checks cashed 09/21/07 - NOA on both AOS and EAD

09/27/07 - Received Biometrics Appointment Notice

10/18/07 - Biometrics

10/19/07 - Received RFE

10/26/07 - USCIS received the response to our RFE

11/05/07 - EAD Card Production ordered

11/16/07 - EAD Card received

11/26/07 - Received interview notice

01/25/08 - Interview Date!!!! APPROVED!!!

04/18/08 - At long last! GC Card production ordered

04/21/08 - Email noticed welcome letter

04/23/08 - Email card production again

04/25/08 - Welcome Letter received

04/30/08 - Greencard received

I am so happy to hear that you finally got your visa...i got a quotation from PAL $707 one-way MNL-LAX-ATL via PAL & Delta.

Aloha nui loa Bill!

I got the discount from PAL for my wife and anak.

2 ways to do it.

If they fly Mabuhay[ business] you can buy the tickets here [travel agent] and they will give you the about 20% discount without evidence of having visa.

If you go economy the person in RP must have visa in hand to get it.

I flew wife and anak Mabuhay! Got tickets from Nobel travel in Maui. HAD to ask for it tho. They said no way at first but they checked on it and it flew!

Nice to have my wife and anak leave RP like Queens.

Good thing I flew them Mabuhay as they had trouble getting the CFO sticker that morning and would have missed the plane if they would have had to stand in lines.

Mabuhay passengers are treated like Royalty!

Problem is now they want to fly everywhere FIRST CLASS! Even interisland! :blink:

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

When Claudeth came two years ago they were offering discounts for K-3s. She did save me about $150 by purchasing the ticket there.
