30,000 people die every year in traffic accidents in the US.

The only significant air accident in the US since 9/11 was a comair crash last year with only 49 fatalities. There were other accidents involving planes, but none resulted in fatalities.

http://www.airfleets.net/home/accident.htm has all the accident reports involving airplanes.

What about the American Airlines crash in Queens, November 2001? 251 people on the plane and 5 on the ground were killed...
While the AA crash in Brooklin was the worst since 9/11, there were even more fatal crashes since then:

Date.........Location....................Airline.................................Aircraft................Fatal.......Survivors

01/08/03 CHARLOTTE, NC........US AIRWAYS EXPRESS..........Beech 1900..........19..........0

10/19/04 KIRKSVILLE, MO........CORPORATE AIRLINES..........Jetstream 32........11..........2

12/19/05 MIAMI, FL..................CHALKS OCEAN AIR.............Grumman G-73T...18..........0

NTSB

Those ones are not covered on the site since they are not passenger jets.

They're not passenger jets? What would you suggest they are? Cargo planes?

Jets require jet engines, those planes have propellers. The airfleets.net site doesn't cover those types of planes.

Really? This crash with 68 fatalities reported on that particular site involved an American Eagle ATR 42/72 such as the one shown below. Those would be the funniest jet engines I've ever seen...

Your little website is either incomplete or inconsistent with the data it reports. ;)
