I went to SLEC last Oct. 30 (1st day) for my medical. I arrived there 4:30 AM and I got a queue number 67 (I went very early but look at my number :o) Hehehe. The guard checked my documents including the appointment letter both photocopy and the original, passport and pics. He handed me the patient data sheet and asked me to fill everything back and forth with the red check mark. Exactly 6 AM when they started calling numbers but they prioritized the seniors. I am so boring waiting and decided to asked one of the staff on what number is it they are assisting and he just get mine after knowing it was 67 (the number they were calling is from 40-50, I guess I was just lucky) He asked me to fall in line for digital picture taking and asked me to fall in line again for the encoding at the US counter. I was shocked coz the clinic became so crowded as time passed by. The queue number reached 500+ :o As I reached the counter, they asked some info about me, checked my accomplished PDS and got the photocopy of my appointment letter. And after that I proceeded to 5th flr for the payment. The fee is $145=P6525 for adult, I forgot how much is for the pedia. After the payment, I went down to 3rd flr for my xray. I gave my passport and PDS at the counter and wait for my name to be called. I was so nervous since I had my xray before my medical and the findings said that I have this pulmonary scarrings and I dont know why. I am so paranoid because of that. On the dressing room where we allowed to change for our lab gown, I drink a pack of sterilized bear brand milk. LOL :D Whew, im so paranoid. The next step is at the 4th flr for the blood and urine test. Huhuhu. I am so nervous coz I am afraid of the needles. LOL I handed them my papers and wait again for my name to be called. They let me fill up the agreement that I am willing to undergo HIV test. After that, the nurse gave me the vial and asked me to go straight at the lab. Whew. This is it. Hehehe. :D It is not as painful as I expect. Yehey! I overcome it. :D They asked me to undergo my urine test. The nurse asked me if I can gave her a urine sample. I just told her that I will try since I dont feel that I need to pee. She then told me that its ok if I can produce some. I then said Ok I will try while smiling of course. Hehehe. As I went out from the bathroom, I told her that I thought I can just produce some but look. Hehehe. I almost made the plastic cap full. LOL Then after that she asked me to just wait for my name to be called again since she had my passport and PDS with her. After a few minutes, they handed me again my papers and asked me to go to 4th flr for the vital signs and physical test. And I saw my PDS, there is a stamp there saying that I am negative for pregnancy. Hehehe. Of course di ba? LOL Then I proceed to 4th flr I gave again my papers at the counter for height and weight. I was shocked since my height is 159 cm and that was 5'2. My goodness, I got my height when I was still in high school and it was 5'4. How come it changed? LOL And my weight is 43.5 kg. Hahaha. :) So skinny. :( After that they called my name for eye check up. Oh my I am wearing my contacts. The guy there let me read with my contacts on and asked me to remove my contacts. I told him that I dont have 20-20 vision before we start the test. I even told him my eye grade. Glad that I read from one of WOF's thread to bring the contacts case for those who are using lenses. I brought mine and also my glasses. I just wore my glasses after removing it. I then asked him if I am already blind coz I just read the big letter E after I removed my contacts. Hehehe. He then told me "ndi naman" LOL. I laughed then. Then the guy advice me to wait for my name again to be called. I then proceed and called for my blood pressure. It was normal. LOL Then advice me to go at the US counter. The receptionist then gave me a number and told me to go to room no. 7 for the physical test. After waiting for a few minutes, I then had my turn. I am so glad, the doctor that was assigned for me is so nice and very kind. She asked me a lot of things regarding my health like some diseases or if I take drugs or marijuana. She then asked me if I undergo xray before and I told her yes maam last Oct. 18 and the doctor found some pulmonary scarrings and I also undergone sputum test for that. She called someone and I heard her asking if the scarrings was a suspect for TB. I heard her says ahh ok suspect for TB. I am so nervous. She then asked me for the result. I handed her the result and told me to have it photocopy since she will attach it to my papers. She then asked me to take my clothes off. :0 Hehehe. Whew. I am so shy then. :) Hehehe. After few minutes, we are done. LOL :) Thank God. She then asked me to go back to the US counter and tell the receptionist about the photocopy thing of my xray and sputum result. The guy there at the US counter asked me to go down (2nd flr) for my immunization interview. I gave my papers again at the counter and asked me to sit down first and wait for my name to be called again. After a few minutes, they asked me to go inside. The doc inside then asked me about my vaccination history. Asked me if I had my first vaccination scar. If I had chicken pox before, I said yes and asked for an evidence. LOL She was then satisfied and told me that I just need to have one vaccination which is the MMR. :) Whew. Thank God. LOL After that, she saw my xray and sputum result. She asked me if I have been treated for TB and I told her no, and dont even know that I have that. I then asked her if they will let me undergo sputum test again coz I am so worried. She then answered me, it depends on your xray result here. Whew. That makes me so worried. :( She then asked me to proceed to 3rd flr for the releasing counter. I gave my papers to the nurse there and wait again for my name to be called. A few minutes after, she handed me the receipt with releasing stub. I am done with my 1st day around 11 AM. The SLEC was so crowded then that time. Whew. Thank God I am done but still worried for the result. LOL :)

Oct. 31 on my 2nd day. They didn't told me what time I needed to go back there for the result. I went there 8 AM. Few people compared to my 1st day. The guard then checked my receipt and stub and my name on the master list. He then let me proceed to 2nd flr for my immunization. Goodness! I am so nervous. Whew! Injection again. LOL. I gave my receipt and stub at the counter and wait for my name to be called. It was just a second or minute when they called my name. The nurse told me that I am not allowed to get pregnant in one month. My heart was beating so fast when she is preparing things for me. LOL. But same as the blood extraction, it is not as painful as I expect. Whew. I overcome it. I am done with it. LOL. I am then asked to proceed at the ground flr releasing area. :) I am nervous because of my xray. I waited for 15-30 minutes before they called my name again. The guy asked for my passport, 2 pcs. 2x2 with name at the back and signed some document. He then asked me to wait for my name to be called again.:o And after a few minutes, my name was called at the window c. The girl then asked my name, bday and other personal info. Asked me how many vaccinations did their doc gave me. Then told me that I had to take the TD shot in the US when I get there coz the shot is still not available in the Philippines and she gave me the copy of my vaccination record. Then she told me that I need to bring my xray result with me in the US and gave me my xray film. Yehey! That means everything went fine. Yahoooooooo! God is so good. I guess the milk helped me a lot. LOL. Hehehe. Whew! I survived the medical. LOL.

I am now preparing for the upcoming interview. Wish me luck again. Hehehe. :D

To all who will have their medical exam sooner. Don't be afraid and paranoid like me. Hehehe. :D Just smile and always greet everybody. :) Pray before u go inside. Thats the key there. Good luck everyone. :)
