U.S Citizen filing for Out of Status member??

Hello!

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this, but here goes:

A mother (U.S Citizen - has her green card) is trying to file for a daughter in the United States who is currently out of status.

What problems is she bound to face with this? And how long is the processing time? (I have checked the page for the processing times, but it doesn't help with this particular situation).

Any suggestions/help is much appreciated. :)

Thank you!

Her daughter is over 21 and came with a Visitor's Visa

(sorry, should have put all this in the original post) :)

Then there is no way for her to remain in the US while her mother files for her.... depending on which country she comes from is will take anything from 8 years to 22 years for a visa to become available to her daughter... she should return to her own country as soon as possible....

Kez
