Hey very nice pictures. I was there too at the Doi Suthep temple. I love the view looking down at the city of Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai area is very beautiful place to live. Did you guys go on the elephant trek and river rafting? I did all of that during Thai New Year in 2005 and it was awesome. What's even better...I met Aoy, my girl during that visit as well.

Ah, it was foggy that day so we couldn't see the city. We went to an elephant, monkey and snake show in Chiang Mai and also went to a shooting range. It's a nice city, we might move there when I retire...only 18 more years, haha.

I have just retired last month after 21 yrs, 9 months, and 9 days in the US Air Force. I have seen the world and met so many great people. But Thailand is a place where I have not seen everything. I had only visited twice since I left there in 1975. I was born in Udon Thani, one of the fastest growing Issan (Country Farm) Cities. Many foreigners have retired and moved there. Well, 18 yrs is quite far away but you'll be ok. I'm working on my second retirement right now. I'm 43 and should have 3 retirements by 65 if Social Security is still around. Then I can move to Thailand and live there.
