How long was this period of time?

I don't think that matters. As long as you had an address back home that was yours, had all your belongings there and you were still receiving mail at that address, it was still your home, even though you were traveling away from it for a period of time.

The only way I would put any other address was if you moved to a certain location and were not returning to your previous address.

I would just put your address.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me :)

I went travelling for a year and was advised from someone from VJ to write the various places I visited. I wrote on a seperate paper the places I had been and wrote various hostels for where I stayed. This seemed to be acceptable as I had no problem with it. Hope this is helpful
