My spouse emailed consulate for information about not getting packet for K-3. She got a phone call and was told her interview was scheduled for Oct. 22. Original date was Oct. 30 but it was moved up as of the phone call. They also said they would mail a new packet to arrive this week. She still has no instructions. Today she called the consulate and they told her that she can follow the list of forms and documents listed at the consualte website; she does not need the packet instructions. Well, we could use a little help. There is no list that says K-3, just fiance visas. Some forms seem to not apply to married couples. She is to go to the interview with all in hand, even if no mail arrives. We would like to get it right. I am sending support forms now. We expected an interview in mid to late November. We are pleased but stressed. By the way, what support form is expected with the K-3 visa application, 186 or 134? Any pitfalls with respect to support form notarization or mailing from California to Rio FedEx? Sorry for so much writing. All has gone well except for the short notice for interview.

BdS

Hi mbdesousa !!

How are you ? Ready to travel ?

As i said i still confused about the information as I do not know if the list is the same for all Local Embassy !

My hope when i posted this comment to the readytogo user was that he already got accurate informations and perhaps correct/add them to the list.

I also sent him a PM message to get his attention for his post again !

He posted it on 11/October and he said their interview would be in mid to late November so I believe he already got the packet 3 by now.

I had the same problem that he had trying to find K-3 list trought the web site.

I hope he will reply or some one else can explain it better !

Tks !!!

ohh sorry. kkkkk i thought you were stating the facts. i am so anxious when i research the information , it's silly.

yes, i am ready to travel to Rio de Janeiro in 3 weeks! our NOA1 for I-129F arrived when i was in Brazil last time, so I hope that this time, we will get 'something' in the mail while we are together, too....

it is such a shame to have such a shoddy and unscripted procedure for spousal visas. as if separation is not already causing us so much stress.

hmmm

i will do some research on this subject as well, then! let's be prepared as best as we can.

xoxo and good luck
