Obama's questions to the General....Gary, listen to this opening statements.

I can't watch Youtube at work (no speakers) but Obama is the only dem I have respect for when it comes to Iraq. He opposed it before it started, he opposed it while it was going on and he still opposes it. While I do not agree with him I feel he is the only Dem politician running for president that has any right to b!tch about Iraq. The rest have all flip-flopped to pander to their base. Some several times.

Was Iraq a good thing or a bad thing, in your opinion Gary?

An editorial by a liberal I should point out. But that does not matter, it's by that evil Fox News. Anything they say is a lie.

Another example of your spin on posts. No one said they lied.

Editorials are just that - opinions. You either agree, or you don't. Its hardly a representative statement of fact. So even the suggestion that the author or the network is 'lying' is really an irrelevant criticism.

You mean like this?

What about it?

:secret: He avoids answering you if you're right. See my post above saying the same thing.

Here's where you can find the transcript. I think it's important that you go to the source rather than rely on someone else's commentary, particularly on such a hot button issue as the war in Iraq.

http://obama.senate.gov/files/TranscriptPatraeusHearing.pdf

Here's some highlights...

So I just want to stipulate a couple things. Number one, the

performance of our troops has been outstanding. And we thank them for

their service. They've done everything that's been asked of them

throughout this process.

Number two, I think that both of you gentlemen are doing the

absolute best that you can, given an extraordinarily difficult

situation. And so I appreciate the work that both of you are doing.

I would say that the mission that's been given to you is what's at

issue here in the Senate.

The question is one of strategy, not tactics. And the difficulty

we have, I think, is that, each time we've talked to you, questions

have been posed to you about the broader strategy of our war in Iraq,

you've punted a little bit because you've said, look, that's a little

outside my bailiwick.

But as Senator Feingold pointed out, we don't have limitless

resources. And we've got to make these decisions, at least, in the

Senate, based on priorities and the costs, as well as benefits, to

pursuing a particular strategy.

.....

This continues to be a disastrous foreign policy mistake. And we

are now confronted with the question: How do we clean up the mess and

make the best out of a situation in which there are no good options,

there are bad options and worse options?

And this is not a criticism of either of you gentlemen, this is a

criticism of this president and the administration which has set a

mission for the military and for our diplomatic forces that is

extraordinarily difficult now to achieve.

As I said, Oboma is the only dem that has any credibility when it comes to Iraq.
