November Interview at US Embassy Manila

It seems like it takes about 2-3 months to get an interview from the time USEM receives the case. I just wanted to know how many in VJ already scheduled for November interview, since we are at the start of the September month and if my theory is right, we'll see names on this post.

Thanks!

I'll just BUMP this post... :bonk:

i think as usual they will post a new sked around the mid of the month... sometimes if they have a slot for a few they will post it earlier, but most likely around every 15th of the month plus/minus the date... good luck!!!

Thanks for your thoughts!

I filed for CR1/IR1 for my husband, and the case is still with NVC. I have already paid my Immigrant Visa fee ($380) just last week (8/29th to be exact), and it will take about a week for the payment to be processed. The last step will be the submission of my husband's civil documents or the DS230. It seems that our case will be completed by the week of the 24th of September assuming that everything will be OK with NVC. Given the calculated personal timeline, my husband will be due for an interview, probably not in October but in November for sure (I am hoping sooner though!).

About a month to 2 months ago, the interview dates were scheduled about a month prior, but now it seems that it takes about 6-8 weeks at an average. If my theory is correct, the following below affects the appointment dates for those who got their applications approved by this month...

(1) the recent July 30 fee hike

(2) since USEM at every last quarter of each year tends to get slower than the previous quarters (looking at processing timeline for Manila consulate), maybe due to upcoming holidays (where Philippines celebrate the most holidays. And, appears to be in a holiday mode by this time of the year)

Hoping to get more ideas, or thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!

Hi RandyandRina,

I think we're almost in the same time frame as far as DS230 is concern. Your theory I think is correct and I very much agree. I've been calling DOS and NVC all this week and last week for my wife's case to see why its taking so long. When I called last week NVC told me that they received my IV fee - Aug. 20th. I called again this week and NVC told me they received it Aug. 23. So now im confused!! Anyways, the latest news that NVC told me which I called last nite was that I should be expecting my DS230 docs this week as it was sent out on Aug. 29th. again this is according to NVC. I hope they are right about it as I don't know why I am getting different dates. I was looking at my time table as well and like you, I hope before this month is over that NVC complete its process and sent it to USEM back home. Then, I also hope that my wife will get interview by November or sooner!!

Thanks for the info. and your thoughts.

God Bless,

D

Wow, that's great! I have few people already that could be scheduled for November...that is, if my theory is correct! Keep them coming, so we can go through the whole preparation together for the last part of the whole immigration process: medical, interview, then seminar.

hi,

were on the same timeline. The interview will probably be on november. My husband at new york sent my DS230 on September 7, 2007. It will probably take two weeks after our case be completed at NVC.If we are lucky enough and we dont have missing documents or somthing.I have lots of relatives who went through this process. Some of them told me that after ds230 is approved at NVC it would take a week before it arrive at US embassy. Then, 6 weeks before the interview date.Good luck to you!!!

Apparently, we have already missed the boat for the October interview. I am really hoping to see more VJs going for the November interview. There are a few of us that will surely be on November interview at USEM. I am crossing my fingers to hopefully know all of you 9my kababayan) to go through the whole process successfully.

You posted on IR1/CR1 forum regarding the DS230 (i think!), I replied on that one! Just in case you have not checked it yet.

Thank you and Good luck to you too! Kepp us all updated.
