Hello!

Me and my wife are filling out her i485 application and had a question about Part 1, Question 12: Providing info from most recent i94, specifically the immigration status (class of admission).

She came here originally as an Au Pair on a J1 visa then adjusted status J1 -> B1 -> F1. On the https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/ website her most recent i94 shows her J1 status, but on her F1 approval notice it shows her new i94 with the updated F1 status.

My question:

On the i485 Question 12: Immigration status from i94: do we enter F1 as the class of admission or J1 as the class of admission (since that is the i94 listed on the cbp.gov website)?

Then on Question 14: Current Status (if it has changed): Here we enter F1

Thank you!
