Hi everyone,

My fiancé (the petitioner) made an account on the USCIS website several months ago to keep an eye on the progress of our case (we filed for a K1).

When making the account it specifically said to not share that account with anyone, so I have never used his.

I would quite like to make my own account, in fact I think the USCIS websites states that each person should have their own account, even minors. My fiancé is worried if I make an account that it could interfere with our case. He had to fill out our case number when he made an account and he thinks if I fill in the same case number it could be problematic since it said not to share.

What do you guys think? Can we do this safely? Can I make my own account with our case number to track our progress or is this a bad idea?

Has anyone done this and how did it go?

Thanks!

We each had our own account. The petition application generally lives in the petitioner account and other forms live related directly to the applicant live in their account-but not always.

I personally think you're also taking the directions too literally-you're not going to be denied or arrested b/c you used the log-in that your spouse gave you.

You might be right, maybe we are over thinking but we want to make sure we do everything correctly, we don't want any troubles.
