What is the nearest day we can schedule the appointment for the interview?

Hi! I 'm from Peru and my wife is from The USA, we received the confirmation of the DS-130 been approved, we are waiting for NVC received, we read that it takes within 1 week to get the consular case number and then complete DS-260. We are wondering. What is the nearest day we can schedule the appointment for the interview after getting the Interview appointment letter? or how much time they give us approximately until the interview appointment date? Someone could give us information to this, please.

You don't pick your appointment, it's just given to you. You usually get around 6-8 weeks from the interview letter date, and it'll be about a 3 month wait from when you are DQ'ed to when you get the interview letter, so maybe 6 months or so total from when you're DQ'ed as a very rough guide? Lima is April 2025, so like Appleblossom said, expect 6ish months.
