hi!! well my fiancee (the USC) is currently employed & has a permanent job in kansas but she will only be working there untill august 30 then moving to guam for another permanent job but before going to guam, she will be here to be with me & for my interview (hope i can join the september batch hehe). and going to guam at the same time (hopefully)

now here is my question:

1. will there be any complication/problem if she is unemployed on my interview day? (but will have a job in guam)

2. what letter should i show them?

a. the letter back from kansas stating that she has a permanent job there before or;

b. letter from her future employer in guam that she will have a permanent job when we get there.

3. can guam be my POE?

can i go directly to guam or i should go to kansas 1st then guam since my faincee filed our I-129f when she is still in kansas

thanks again!!

hi ryza,

here's some of my opinion with your inquiry..i still highly suggest that you're fiancee will call USCIS for more reliable answer for these questions..

hope this opinion will enlighten you in some ways..

1. will there be any complication/problem if she is unemployed on my interview day? (but will have a job in guam)

Having a new job is a normal case, its just so happen that in your case it happens during a pending US visa application. I dont think it will be a problem, as long as you can prove to the interviewer that she will have a job in guam.

2. what letter should i show them?

a. the letter back from kansas stating that she has a permanent job there before or;

Its better that you secure a copy of your fiancee's employment certificate to the previous job, in such way it will support the document how she was able to pay taxes on that period. Plus, as far as i know.. everytime we resign to a certain company, its a mandatory that we will secure an employment certificate. It will not just be a reference to this visa application but also in your fiancee's future career reference.

b. letter from her future employer in guam that she will have a permanent job when we get there.

Like what i've said, this document will serve as a proof that you're fiancee is capable of supporting your stay in US..

3. can guam be my POE?

can i go directly to guam or i should go to kansas 1st then guam since my faincee filed our I-129f when she is still in kansas

Guam is under US territory,when i tried to visit Guam I applied for TOurist Visa in US EMbassy..so i think, it can be POE too.. Not that much sure, this is just based on my experience.

goodluck....

alexandra
