Good morning

i am a us citizen. I was born in the uk but my dad was in the us military for 27 years and I went to school on the military base. I want to get my 16 year old son us citizenship but when we went to the embassy in london they refused his passport application because I couldn’t prove that I had lived on us territory for 2 years after my 14th birthday. My dad retired from the military when I was 8.

now I am thinking on applying via n600k through my dads citizenship for my son. What I would like to know is if we have to travel for t interview from london to the USA and would my dad need to attend the interview? He is elderly now and not sure he will cope well on a long flight. Thank you
