NOA2 Approval Notice

I received my NOA2 on 1/21/2024. Shortly after i received the I-797 letter in the mail stating that my approval period is from 1/22/2024 to 5/21/2024. I emailed the NVC and i got the following response from them: 

 

"To Whom it Concerns:

 

The National Visa Center (NVC) has received your petition from U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services.  Your NVC case number is ISLXXXXXXXXXX.  Due to your petition type, you will not receive a request for fee payment or document submission.

 

All case parties will be notified when this petition is forwarded to the assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General.

 

For the most up to date information about the U.S. Embassy or Consulates current operating status, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov.

 

Regards,"

 

Its April now and I havent received any letter in the mail. What should I do about the approval date if its expring in May? Will they extend it automatically? I tried contacting NVC again about this last week and have received no response yet. Please let me know if there is anything I should be doing. My fiancee is in Pakistan.

Typically, it will be automatically extended and at your interview you will just need to provide an updated letter of intent to marry, like what you provided in your I-129F. It can be the exact same letter, just dated closer to your interview and with a new signature. But this could be dependent upon the embassy, I am not familiar with Pakistan.

 

Has your fiance not received anything from their embassy? It took me several months to receive my NOA2 (and I had to submit 2 requests for documentation before it finally arrived to me) but we were able to move forward anyway because my fiance had received his packet from the London embassy. Again, though, I'm not sure how the Pakistan embassy operates - hopefully someone else can jump in.
