My mom’s application has been approved at every step for some time now. All the paper work is done. Unfortunately she is in Haiti and the next step was for her to get an interview date for her medical examination and visa but due to the high rate of crime, i understand the U.S embassy has shut down till at least 2026, therefore is there anyway i can fly her to the U.S then try to adjust her status and request that the process resumes up here? How long can someone remain in a foreign country on a passport from Haiti? Please help

If the embassy is shut down it is possible that they will have interview in a third country. This happened to my spouse. They gave us an option of 3 countries. Visas to the third country was pretty easy due to the countries having a deal with one another to provide services
