DV lottery entry won’t accept a letter in my full name

Hello,

I ran into an issue where the form validation didn’t let me input the letter “Æ” as it said it was an invalid character. So I did as I would on another legal form and wrote “AE” which often functions as a substitute in day to day life. I’m now quite worried that if I were to be picked, would I get disqualified due to providing false information? If this is a risk then I should probably change that part of my name, but is it’s a protected last name so it would be quite sad to lose. I’m probably overthinking it but I would like to be safe.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you have a wonderful day!

If you look at the bio page in your passport, do you see 2 machine readable lines along the long edge? Your name is written in these 2 lines, and the Æ that you have in your name is probably represented by "AE" there. So if you used AE, you would have written your name correctly as in your passport. All good!
