VAWA

I’m with my bf(USC) for over 2 years and married for 4 months. He has put me through some financial, emotional and physical abuse during 2 years. He has some problems with alcohol and when he does that, my life is hell. He would not snap out of it for weeks. He doesn’t pay rent or anything and usually asking me to go to work because he got bills to pay. Also, asking me for money here and there, pretty often and if I don’t send, I get a really good emotional abuse. I was threatened by him that he would call Immigration Services on me a couple of times and I’ll be deported right away. Kicking me out from the apartment and me sleeping in my car is usual. I don’t mind either rather be staying with him in the apartment that I pay for and be abused. Last time we got in a physical fight because he started yelling in my face and grabbing my feet and I had to protect myself. No police involved here because I still have some empathy towards him and don’t want him to get into legal problems, even though I should have. He apologized about punching me the next day through txt. And other stuff but it would be long post to write. I’m undocumented but entered the U.S. with a student visa and overstayed since. We were planning on filling AOS for me but I dont know at this point. I’m thinking of filing for VAWA myself. I don’t have the money to hire a lawyer. But I’m good at following instructions which all of USCIS forms have that.

I have pics of trashed apt and vodka bottles everywhere. Nasty txt msgs from him and I recorded his abuse once with my phone. We lost 2 apt and had to move out bc of him. Police showing up a few times because I didn’t feel safe but no domestic abuse mentioned. I lied to them that he doesn’t let me sleep and I got work in the morning.

Thank you for reading my post. Any help is appreciated.
