Iv scheduling tool not updated this month. Could this have been affected by the USA government shutdown?

It didn't update in August until the 8th, and even later in July IIRC. There's no set day so I don't think the shutdown has anything to do with it.

they usually send ivs same day i believe, I might be wrong. I got the letter from NVC to transfer back to my country of nationality today as well

Oh! You don’t have UK resident permits or one of the listed documents in the NVC email?

Nobody from the employment category attest to receiving the Invite from London yet, so I hope they haven’t sent or we possibly don’t know those invited yet.

@syvvs, the scheduling tool has been updated - its not showing any changes from last month, still on March 25

Probably because they didn’t schedule anyone for interview since the quota was exhausted. It’s expected

Has anybody else received this today?

At my interview ill be updating the officer that since my application im now a UK citizen - so not personally concerned that ill face delays by going through the London consulate.

Iv seen some conflicting information on reddit with people saying that they have been advised to contact NVC - even if they want to remain in London - through to people like myself who interpret it to mean i can ignore it and carry on with London.

I wanted to get the opinions here based on anybody elses experiences or understanding of this

Ultimately im taking it to be that they are working on allocating interview slots and we should have this through soon

I’m on a Global Talent Visa in the UK and I think I should reply them based on the second option (special circumstances) of contacting via the public inquiry form.

it costs nothing to reply since the specifically asked for a reply if I want to proceed with London. I planned replying on Monday.

Specifically because I don’t want a sorry case of them now pending my case possibly because they are waiting for a response or whatever the case may be.

I’ll make sure that my heading is that I’m retaining London as my post and include any necessary details including my job contract.

Let’s hear from others for better justification if they contribute.

Hey @Dxstat I could be mistaken, but staying in London would not cause the IL to be delayed, regardless of whether you react. If you want to return to your native country, they advised you to use the public inquiry form.

A friend of mine who received his IL last month end (he transferred his case from his home country to another country) received this on Friday, along with instructions on how to verify residency when he arrives for his interview. I've attached what they sent to him here. I hope it helps.

Im probably overthinking but is there a world where they dont release interview notifications for this month? I know we are waiting for the end of this month in the hopes they do but could it be that they skip october and instead only do them from November - or even at all this year?

Yes, it’s possible, pretty much anything is.  Immediate relative visas will always get priority for the slots.

Just bear in mind there’s no set time of the month, they could do it twice a month (I’ve seen it before where the ‘end of the month IL’s’ have actually rolled in to the start of the next month, but then they’ve done another batch 3 weeks later), and that all US and UK holidays are closures for them.

So in other words, end of the month is a bit of a pattern, but don’t be alarmed if that doesn’t happen.

Thanks @appleblossom - just thinking of all the scenarios - bit overwhelming knowing its close but also having no way of really knowing whats going to happen in the next few months. My contract job finishes soon so weighing up whether i should just get another short one into the new year and then i have a bit more control over what i doing even if i do get an interview date set for December.

Lots to think about which is based off the slight unknown re timings and then ultimately even moving to the US how long it will take to find employment - weighing up all my options, thanks for your help!

I think there’s no pattern anymore. Things seems to have changed a lot in London in the past year or so. Very few interviews in the summer, new fiscal year not looking very promising, expedite requests being denied left and right. Best we can do is hope for something to happen, but all the efficiency i heard about London embassy is now apparently in the past.
