They are different numbers. I have a certificate of naturalization and so I have both an A# and a certificate number listed on it...they are different.

Here is a sample I found online. The red is the certificate number. The yellow is the A#

In the I-864 pdf. It says I need 9 digits. However, I only have 8 digits and the pdf keeps deleting the numbers and gives me an error. Below is an image of what it looks like in my Certificate of Citizenship. Did anyone had a similar issue like this?

Is there a 0 after the A? My Alien number starts with a 0. But to be honest, I only wrote down the certificate number. Not the A number.

There is no zero after the A. But I did more research and it seems that you have to put a zero in the beginning if you have less than nine digits. So, for example if you A-number is A-12345678, it needs to be A-012345678.

If I'm wrong, can anyone clarify if I'm wrong or not?
