Hi! We are in the process of putting together our AOS & EAD File. i had a few questions about the I-864 at this point and I have found conflicting replies on other similar posts...

1. My fiance (now husband) had got a letter from his employer indicating his wages, title in April 2007 when I was applying for my K1 visa, to be submitted at the US Embassy. Can I attach a copy of the same letter or we need to get a new one?

2. Does the I-864 need to be notarized?

3. What is I-864A form? Who needs to fill that?

4. What are the documents one needs to attach with I-864?

Await your replies.

thanks

dano

Sure, as long as the information is still current. You need to attach the most recent tax return as well (2006).

2. Does the I-864 need to be notarized?

No.

3. What is I-864A form? Who needs to fill that?

It is used only in the case where other household member's income is being used to meet thes sponsorship requirements. E.g. you live with your parents, and want to include their income on the I-864.

4. What are the documents one needs to attach with I-864?

As per the instructions: The most recent tax return (1040) and any accompanying W-2s, 1099s etc.

Get a new letter and the I864 clearly states which documents to attach so that shouldn't be a problem, as for the other things, I'll let someone who knows better than me answer :)
