I traveled to London from New York for a week to see my mother for her cancer surgery. Unfortunately, I left without my green card and now I cant find it at home. I applied to the US Embassy for a transportation document  'boarding foil" on Sunday 30th Jan, then upon receipt of their email I completed an I-131A form, along with the fee on Monday 31st Jan. It is now Wednesday and am yet to hear back. I know that once I attend an interview it will take 3 days to process, but there is no indication on how long it takes to schedule an interview. I know timings can vary from country to country however, does anyone have idea for the UK? There is no guidance on their website or online. My Green Card isn't out of date, and I only left the US for a week.

My children, aged 5 and 3 were left behind in New York, I am desperate to see them but I just don't know when. Plus, I also need to advise my employers when I can return. Now that I have their direct email, is there documentation that I can send to expedite the interview date?
