Going on trips between NVC DQ and Interview

My spouse and I wanted to visit 2-3 foreign countries while we are waiting for her interview, which could be in one year based on current projections.  The trips would be tourist trips and would last no more than 3 weeks.

 

Is there any issue with traveling to "third" countries(not USA) between NVC DQ and the interview , or any documentation to provide at the interview?  

 

I have heard that a police certificate may be required from specific countries?  Any insight?

i would not plan any international travels around the time, give and take one month before and one month after the scheduled interview. i would be sure to be in a place i can easily get to the interview with 1 day notice.

 And the countries you're planning to visit also matter.  Any visits to countries that are deemed state sponsors of terrorism will land you in AP down the road.
