Issues with processing of my renunciation

Hello,

 

I am having some not so nice experience with the renunciation process. I shipped the documents for my wife, my child and myself on March 9th by Fedex.  I received an email on March 30th, for my child's application stating - "The renunciation gov’t application form’s second page is missing the applicant’s signature. Please mail." It also said that the action must be completed within 7 calendar days.

 

I missed this email and noticed it on 9th or 10th day. I checked the copies of applications to see what was missing.

 

The application had below instructions for who to sign. I interpreted it as "if applicant is minor, a parent must sign, not the minor". I am not sure if it means "if applicant is minor, a parent must also sign"

So I just waited for them to return the application and resubmit since I missed the window to send the form. My wife and I got our renunciation certificates on April 29th. But my child's application was updated on April 27th and now says -  

Your application has reached at the Embassy/Consulate and is currently under review process

 

I am not sure if they are just going to reject after waiting for another month or so at Consulate.

 

Anyone had similar experience on missing 7 day window and how did Consulate react?
