Hello, I have a question that should be solved ASAP. I applied for naturalization and my documents got accepted on January 21. I signed up for USCIS account, followed all the directions, everything is good. Before I proceed I must say that I am in a different state during the winter time, I am here till end of March but I filed from Northern state where I live since that's my primary address, so all the mail gets sent there first and then transferred to another state where I am now (since I requested mail transfer for the time I am here through USPS).

I have been checking my email thinking the biometric appointment notice will come and should come fairly soon. I have not received any emails from USCIS account that I set up for this process. So I thought I would be able to know through email notifications. Today, on Saturday, I get a letter in a mail, it is saying I have to be in the office in another state I have on file on February 10 at 9 am, which is this Monday, which is less than 2 days away. I cannot make it on time, I physically cannot be there, it is across the country, I checked all airplane tickets, with such a short notice it is 700 dollars and up for one person and I'd like to travel with my husband. That's out of the way. I tried calling the number provided on the notice, it is outside of business hours, I cannot call today or tomorrow. I tried accessing my USCIS account, it doesn't let me login and doesn't let me reset the password. I wanted to see if I even got the notification there online and whether I am able to reschedule the appointment through that account. I went to USCIS website to see if I can reschedule through there, I found Case e-Inquiry as the closest thing to my situation, and even that doesn't work for rescheduling. I found an option to change/cancel appointment, but the window asked me for the PIN which is not anywhere on the appointment letter I received by mail. I checked case status online with my request number (which is provided), it said that on January 25 they scheduled my biometrics appointment and if I don't receive anything by February 24, I can request a new one and etc. The appointment is on Feb 10.

I did not get the letter earlier by mail since my mail gets transferred from one state to another and it takes time, but it took so much time since I got it only today. I didn't get any email either.

My only hope is to call the office on Monday before my appointment at 9 AM, the office opens at 8, and try to reschedule it. I am worried whether the call goes through, be accepted as a proper way of rescheduling. I am lost and I hope for the best. I rather not have the whole process cancelled because I won't make it to the appointment and start it all over again.  Not mentioning the loss of application and biometrics fee. I thought about asking whether I can send mail to USCIS office through UPS so it is there on Monday with the reschedule notice.

Is there anything else I can do? Has anybody been in the same situation? Is there a way to reschedule online? Will the call be enough? I will appreciate any help, thank you.

Were you able to reschedule your appointment? ... so sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately with this process, there is no way to know when the appointments will be scheduled and all you can do is wait for the letter in the mail. I would have thought the online account would have provided updates.
