Never Got a Receipt from USCIS

I sent my I-130 package at the beginning of September.  I live in Taiwan.  My wife is Taiwanese.  Shortly after I sent the package, I got this email from my mom.  (I'm using her address as my "contact/home address" for the immigration stuff.)

Email:

" SOME Paperwork came and the copies were sent back to my address. It says the Documents have been digitized and electronically stored.

USCIS returned the documentation to (ME) you.
IF questions visit USCIS Contact Center at www.uscis.gov/contactcenter. To connect with a live USCIS representative in English or Spanish.
Thank you……US Citizenship and Immigration Services."
 
SO, because of this email I know my package was received and at least some processing was done.  I thought, "Okay things are proceeding.  Let's just wait patiently."  I didn't know I was supposed to get a receipt from the USCIS.....  NOW, nearly 5 months have gone by and I've heard nothing. (I was traveling for 2 months of that time, so things have been a bit hectic.)  So, I went online to find out what's going on and quickly found this website:  https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
It's asking for my receipt number.  Reaction:  Umm, what receipt number?  I don't have a receipt number! The USCIS never mailed me!??  WTH is going on?!??  Sigh...
 
Can anyone tell me if I'm screwed, or what?  I've never received one email from the USCIS.  The only contact I've gotten is that package they sent to my Mom's house...

Yet, no receipt, no email, no NOTHING from the USCIS.  They took my money and haven't sent me ANYTHING in 5 months. 

You should call the uscis call centre
